Myriad Lite Template Server

The Template Server holds Species, Background history, and Career template data for the Myriad Lite Character Creator.

If you will not be using the Character Creator, this step can be skipped for now.

Later changes to the Myriad Lite system may require the Template server for other items.

Setup

  1. In an out-of-the-way place in your region, create 2 prims named the following:
    1. Myriad Lite Template Server
    2. Myriad Lite Template Client
  2. Copy the Myriad Lite 12 Species, 26 Background, and 12 Career template notecards into the Template Server prim.
  3. Copy the Myriad Lite Template Server script into the server prim.
  4. Copy the Myriad Lite Template Client script into its prim.

When complete, you should have 1 Template Server prim and 1 Template Client prim.

As the Template server script initializes it loads the Template notecard indexes.

As the client prim initializes, it requests the list of templates from the Template Server prim.

If you click the Template Client prim, it will request the list of templates and each Template as well as an invalid Template name to perform a basic functionality test of the server.
