Had trouble getting logged in today. [11:08] Ubit Umarov: tring to pretend to be a taliban gavin? [11:08] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, everyone. [11:08] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: hi Andrew, Ubit [11:08] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: No, this not a Taliban hat, but an Afghan hat from the MOSES store [11:09] Ubit Umarov: hi selby.Evans [11:09] Ubit Umarov: so also a talibna hat [11:09] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: more versions at grid.xmir.org:8002:Murat [11:09] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: they use more like a turban [11:10] Ubit Umarov: wel yeah, and you would not go far without beard [11:10] Ubit Umarov: but.. what about opensim news? [11:10] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: lol [11:10] Andrew Hellershanks: Not much to report. There were only three changes this past week. All minor little bug fixes, AFAICT. [11:10] Ubit Umarov: actulaly only one minor [11:11] Ubit Umarov whispers: the other 2 are a change and its revert :) [11:11] Andrew Hellershanks: Ubit, if the map upload happens at the wrong time on region start is it a big change to make it upload the map at the right time? [11:11] Ubit Umarov: the other 2 are a change and its revert :) [11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: I couldn't tell from the changelog if any of the changes were major or minor. They didn't sound that big of a change. [11:12] Ubit Umarov: made a op return on 2 errors, then remembered those 2 errors can happen and it still does most its work [11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: argument name is direction_RootToChild not the oposite (just a rename to keep coerency with code logic) [11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: groups V2: improve messages sent on eject a bit [11:12] Ubit Umarov: yeha i had that wrong :( [11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: show http comand: do list http query method handlers [11:12] Ubit Umarov: oh all those this last week? [11:13] Andrew Hellershanks: Those were the changes that were made, not including the one that was reverted. [11:13] Ubit Umarov: ok [11:14] Ubit Umarov: groups V2 was not sending messages in some hg cases, now does sent, at least in more of those cases [11:16] Andrew Hellershanks: ok [11:18] Andrew Hellershanks: Who is going to get us started with any OS issues? [11:18] Jagga Meredith: my lookat problem appears to be limited to Firestorm as Ubit suspected. [11:18] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I tested the viewer in the Windows 11 beta today, and it got killed off immediately [11:18] Jagga Meredith: Does,t appewr to be a preference to affect it [11:18] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: so that was tat [11:19] Ubit Umarov: oh? [11:19] Ubit Umarov: got killed or crashed? [11:19] Andrew Hellershanks: Jagga, annoying if Firestorm is the viewer you want to use. [11:19] Jagga Meredith: yeah [11:19] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: killed or crashed - it never got far enough to even log anything [11:20] Andrew Hellershanks: Jagga, did you file a bug report against the viewer? [11:20] Jagga Meredith: not yet [11:20] Andrew Hellershanks: Jagga, ok. [11:20] Ubit Umarov: well guess its on ll code, so they will look :) [11:20] Ubit Umarov: who wants win11 now? [11:20] Andrew Hellershanks: Gavin, Have you tried running the viewer from a command line to see what output you get or does it not even output anything. [11:20] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I did not [11:21] Ubit Umarov: we need to let others crash with its bugs [11:21] Ubit Umarov: and see if ms does give up on tpm again [11:21] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: LL will have to sort it I figured [11:21] Andrew Hellershanks: I don't have a machine that could run Win 11. [11:21] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: could be driver or all kinds of lib issues [11:21] Ubit Umarov: a pain to debug ofc [11:21] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I ran it in a VMware virtual machine [11:22] Ubit Umarov: specially if early on start [11:22] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I don't own any machine that will run Win 11 per their spec [11:23] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: With the launch of late this fall, all new systems will be sold with it, so becomes an issue relatively fast [11:23] Ubit Umarov: make it work without tpm? [11:23] Andrew Hellershanks: The few times I have run a viewer from a console I found they output lots of messages. It would be interesting to see how far it gets. [11:23] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: VMware emulates it [11:23] Ubit Umarov: yeack [11:23] Andrew Hellershanks: VMware emulates a CPU that is new enough for Win 11? [11:23] Ubit Umarov: my mb does not have that chip it seems [11:23] Ubit Umarov: and a do not want it [11:23] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: sure [11:23] Ubit Umarov: and i.. [11:25] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: it will be like the old Vistal slogan "Ask not what Vista can do for you. Ask what you can buy for Vista" [11:27] Neovo Geesink: Hello everyone [11:27] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: Hi Neovo [11:27] Jagga Meredith: I downloaded latest ODGrid opensim. Will it break anything eg. database entries, that would prevent me reverting back? [11:27] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hi Neovo [11:28] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, Neovo [11:28] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: load it ina new databse instance [11:28] Ubit Umarov: answer can one be, backup everything jagga [11:28] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: then you can test it first [11:28] Ubit Umarov: can only.. [11:28] Andrew Hellershanks: jagga, it also depends on what version you last ran vs the current one. [11:30] Jagga Meredith: oh, right. I can shoot oars [11:30] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: and iars [11:30] Jagga Meredith: yep [11:33] Andrew Hellershanks: Anything else for today? [11:33] Andrew Hellershanks: Everyone is being rather quiet today. :) [11:33] Neovo Geesink: :-) [11:34] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I am just a bit uninspired for the time being [11:34] Neovo Geesink: I am not a Developer... I am only running OPenSi, so No questions here. :-) [11:34] Andrew Hellershanks: ok, np Neovo. [11:34] Neovo Geesink: +m [11:35] Andrew Hellershanks: Some weeks we have discussions that take us to an hour and a half and sometimes (like this week), there isn't much to talk about. [11:35] Andrew Hellershanks: Often when I make the suggestion we can pack up early the discussions pick up and we go past the hour. :) [11:35] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: plus vaccine " has made the heart unstable, so I had to stay overhight at the hospital a couple days back [11:35] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: nasty stuff [11:35] Neovo Geesink: I know that with the Saturday meetings here with Albertlr. Same then. [11:35] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: vaccine 2 [11:36] Andrew Hellershanks: Sorry to hear that, Gavin. Which one did you get this time? [11:36] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I got Pfizer both shots [11:36] Andrew Hellershanks: Gavin, ok. [11:36] Neovo Geesink: ?! Pfeizer??? I had both Vaccinations with Pfeizer, and it affected me about 1 out of 10 Scale... [11:37] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: we are all not the same you know [11:37] Neovo Geesink: Yes, but I did not expected that to be so different. [11:38] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: so far there is registered 300+ cases of myocardia from Pfizer in this country [11:38] Andrew Hellershanks: If there isn't any other OS related I can close todays meeting then we can either leave or talk about other things. [11:38] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: that was not the issue for me though [11:38] Neovo Geesink: Wow. In the Netherlands we do not hear such couses... :-9 [11:39] Andrew Hellershanks: Going, going, gone? :) [11:39] Jagga Meredith: see you next week [11:40] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Bye aLL [11:40] Andrew Hellershanks: ok.
