[10:09] nebadon: hit alt-enter on accident
[10:09] nebadon: went full screen and crashed
[10:09] tx Oh: re
[10:09] Fly Man: Ghehee
[10:09] Fly Man: That's not too good Nebadon
[10:09] Nebadon Izumi: hehe yea i was camming and my thumb just bumped the keypad enter key
[10:10] Nebadon Izumi: and it went haywire
[10:10] Nebadon Izumi: seems to be running pretty good
[10:10] Nebadon Izumi: the elevator is working again too
[10:10] Fly Man: but still bumpiness
[10:10] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[10:11] Fly Man: it would be nice to have the feet on the prim
[10:11] Fly Man: instead of in the prim
[10:11] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[10:11] Fly Man: But I set up a Mono 2.0 test grid now
[10:11] Fly Man: and so far, runs UGAIM like a charm
[10:11] Nebadon Izumi: yea its running quite well for me
[10:12] Nebadon Izumi: not sure why people are having problems with it
[10:12] Fly Man: No clue either
[10:12] Fly Man: using the 8.10 Ubuntu "prerelease"
[10:12] Nebadon Izumi: so far this region runs way better with 2.0 and with 1.9.1
[10:12] Fly Man: but it consumes less memory
[10:14] Fly Man: Nebadon, could you check and see if the IRC thing DrScofield fixed this afternoon works ?
[10:14] Nebadon Izumi: how?
[10:14] Nebadon Izumi: i dont know what he did
[10:14] tx Oh: what uses less mem? mono 2.0?
[10:14] Fly Man: I think it was a new revision
[10:14] Fly Man: Concierge I will test myself now
[10:15] Fly Man: but he fixed something on IRC as well
[10:15] Nebadon Izumi: well i have no idea how to test it
[10:15] Compile successful
[10:15] Simulator Version v0.3 shouts: OpenSimulator Server 0.5.11.6930 (OS Fedora Core release 6 (Zod) Kernel \r on an \) ChilTasks:True PhysPrim:False
[10:15] Nebadon Izumi: im not even sure what was done let me look
[10:16] Fly Man: k
[10:16] Nebadon Izumi: hmm yea i have no idea what to test with that
[10:17] Nebadon Izumi: other than its working
[10:17] Nebadon Izumi: we are beyond that revision
[10:17] Nebadon Izumi: and irc relay works
[10:17] Nebadon Izumi: so test complete
[10:17] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[10:17] tx Oh: when can we hope for a no-more-gray-avi's fix?
[10:17] Fly Man: :D
[10:17] Fly Man: Nebadon, I know ;)
[10:17] Fly Man: faster testing can't be done ;)
[10:17] Nebadon Izumi: hmm good question, im not sure we know why its not working yet
[10:18] Fly Man: See SM, still bounches
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: yea we need Teravus to be able to see it
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: i might need to make him an oar of this region
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: problem is
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: if its just me
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: there is no bounce
[10:18] Fly Man: Will Ter be at the meeting ?
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: its only with multiple avatars
[10:18] Nebadon Izumi: im not sure
[10:18] Fly Man: Well, *ping* Ter ;)
[10:19] Fly Man: let's see if he has a solution
[10:19] tx Oh: fly man also bounces
[10:19] tx Oh: i hover because i bounce
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: yea everyone will bounce
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: stand on grass if you dont want to bounce
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: or we can head upstairs and sit
[10:19] tx Oh: supercrew bounces too
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: lets head upstairs
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: we can sit
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: and kit the bounce
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[10:19] Nebadon Izumi: meeting will start in 40 minutes
[10:20] Nebadon Izumi: its upstairs anyway
[10:21] tx Oh: haha
[10:21] tx Oh: chewing gum on the floor
[10:22] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[10:22] Nebadon Izumi: yea whenever someone logs in
[10:22] Nebadon Izumi: theres a moment of lag
[10:22] Nebadon Izumi: log outs too maybe
[10:22] sacha Magne: it stop when there is only one avt too
[10:22] Fly Man: Yeah, when you step on the grass it stops as well
[10:23] sacha Magne: it's really a collision ssue
[10:23] tx Oh: i think there is/was also a memory leak in the opensim.. because memory increases over time
[10:25] tx Oh: do you have media rights on this parcel?
[10:26] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[10:26] Nebadon Izumi: im estate manager here

[10:32] Fly Man: But also handy for showing things
[10:32] Fly Man: Is someone keeping log
[10:32] Fly Man: as we haven't had a chatlog like 3 weeks ago
[10:33] Fu Barr feels totally out of things - 6 weeks is a long time in the metaverse...
[10:33] tx Oh: i can try to port my whiteboard
[10:33] Nebadon Izumi: i do FLyman
[10:33] sacha Magne: can someone send me a tp ?

[10:35] tx Oh: yepp mono sucks..
[10:35] Nebadon Izumi: hehe yea
[10:35] Nebadon Izumi: shame
[10:35] tx Oh: would be better in C
[10:35] Nebadon Izumi: i have a feeling its going to be this way for a long time too
[10:35] Nebadon Izumi: mono 2.0 really didnt improve that much
[10:35] Nebadon Izumi: its more stable
[10:36] Nebadon Izumi: but it uses more memory i think
[10:36] Nebadon Izumi: just a bit
[10:36] Nebadon Izumi: but still
[10:36] Fu Barr is just listening quietly being a good little boy when the grown ups talk...
[10:36] Nebadon Izumi: 1.3gb for 1 sim seems absurd
[10:36] Nebadon Izumi: lol Fu
[10:36] Fu Barr: :)
[10:36] Fly Man: Sacha, follow me
[10:36] tx Oh: but as i said before, i think there are/were memory holes in it
[10:37] Fu Barr: i assume the opensim codebase was put onmono because of the mono choice of LL?
[10:37] Fly Man: showing up now ?
[10:37] Fu Barr: or did coder X decide it was time to try out e new language?
[10:37] Nebadon Izumi: so this tv
[10:38] Nebadon Izumi: is it streaming the mp4 version?
[10:38] Fu Barr: oh well no matter. it is as it is.
[10:38] sacha Magne: it's worst
[10:38] tx Oh: yes
[10:38] tx Oh: i made a small cgi redirector to the mp4
[10:39] Nebadon Izumi: is it strictly the LSL
[10:39] tx Oh: i like to make a version that works with archive.org and video.google.com
[10:39] Nebadon Izumi: or is there a website portion that you have also?
[10:39] tx Oh: no, it's not. because of the 1024byte payload limit
[10:40] Nebadon Izumi: so it redirecting through your website or something?
[10:40] tx Oh: the redirector is a piece of perl code
[10:40] Nebadon Izumi: will you be sharing that too?
[10:40] tx Oh: the perl snippset?
[10:40] Fu Barr feels a shudder spread through his pixels upon the mention of perl
[10:40] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[10:40] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[10:41] tx Oh: perl is propably the best scripting language i know
[10:41] tx Oh: and i know a lot
[10:41] Fu Barr: :)
[10:41] Fu Barr: i just had a bad experience with it a long time ago...
[10:41] Nebadon Izumi: only reason i ask tx just hate to overwhelm your server
[10:41] Nebadon Izumi: im sure if you made it available others could run it themselves
[10:41] Nebadon Izumi: to spare you
[10:42] tx Oh: oh, it's really just a apache redirect
[10:42] tx Oh: no traffic
[10:42] Nebadon Izumi: cool
[10:42] Nebadon Izumi: you could post the code on forums with script if you wanted
[10:42] Nebadon Izumi: there was a wikipedia one like that there
[10:42] Nebadon Izumi: but the website it used went away
[10:43] Nebadon Izumi: askwiki.com
[10:43] Nebadon Izumi: the website just disappeared one day
[10:43] Nebadon Izumi: the wiki scripts stopped working
[10:43] tx Oh: do i still need to have a separate username/password or did you managed that i can use the osgrid.org username/password?
[10:43] tx Oh: i hate to create new accounts

[10:47] Nebadon Izumi: thats not proper url
[10:47] Nebadon Izumi: thats why
[10:47] tx Oh: just the normal watch page
[10:47] Blaksmith Rubble: sorry about that ... my system seems to be locking every now and then
[10:47] Fly Man: No, that's the normal URL that works in SL
[10:47] Charles Krinkeb is Online
[10:48] Nebadon Izumi: heh well this is not sl
[10:48] Fly Man: k, even the other one doesn't work ...

[10:51] tx Oh: you can pick a settop box on the freebie market later
[10:51] Fly Man: Morning Charles :)
[10:52] Charles Krinkeb: Achmed to dead terrorist??
[10:52] Fly Man: Yes
[10:52] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[10:52] Nebadon Izumi: tx donated this device
[10:52] Nebadon Izumi: that lets us play any youtube video here now
[10:52] Blaksmith Rubble: I must not have the right plugin for vid .. never could watch vid in any sl client
[10:52] Charles Krinkeb: Hey, I'm not sinking into the cushion today.
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: yea i was sure reset
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: tx
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: im being told
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: the tv in the freebie garden
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: is no copy
[10:53] tx Oh: oh, is it?
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: not the tv
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: but the eyeball
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[10:53] Nebadon Izumi: being told they cant take a copy
[10:54] Blaksmith Rubble: ooh, will have to get the tv for my land LOL (after I buld my house)
[10:54] tx Oh: it's copy now
[10:54] Nebadon Izumi: thanks
[10:54] Nebadon Izumi: he got it
[10:54] Charles Krinkeb: I got up yesterday morning and Europa was 70m higher in elevation. Anyone else seen this or is it probably a permissions thing I have too lax.
[10:54] tx Oh: it also works as a open air cinema
[10:54] tx Oh: :-)
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: eep
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: no i have not
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: but i did see
[10:55] Fly Man: Nope, haven't seen it on my grids
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: some how edit terrain got enabled for everyone
[10:55] Fly Man: but did see a change
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: make sure that its not enablked
[10:55] Charles Krinkeb: I didnt even think one could select an entire region.
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: on the land options tab
[10:55] Nebadon Izumi: you can
[10:55] Charles Krinkeb: How do you select an entire region. It looks like one has to be within X meters of the land to select.
[10:56] Blaksmith Rubble: I may have to check mine.. I don't think mine was raised... (and I do have it disabled for everyone to edit terrain)
[10:56] Fly Man: Charles, you sure it was no script ?
[10:56] Fly Man: as a script could do that
[10:56] Nebadon Izumi: you cam way up
[10:56] Charles Krinkeb: no, not sure at all. I just did a "terrain fill 21" on all the moons and they are all flat again.
[10:56] Nebadon Izumi: cool
[10:56] Nebadon Izumi: yea you can draw a box over the entire region
[10:56] Nebadon Izumi: and apply to selection
[10:57] Charles Krinkeb: It was a little "wierd" to dig down 70m into the ground to find my clock.
[10:57] Nebadon Izumi: heh yea
[10:57] Blaksmith Rubble: heheh
[10:57] tx Oh: hahaha
[10:57] tx Oh: rofl
[10:58] Charles Krinkeb: I spent an hour building a grotto and canyon and then just said "pfffft" and did a terrain fill 21.
[10:58] Fly Man: Charles, how did the clock do ?
[10:58] Fly Man: still working nicely ?
[10:58] Charles Krinkeb: Clock works terrific. Every two seconds the pendulum swings and the analog hands 40m long move just fine. Makes a great screen saver on my laptop off to the side.
[10:59] Nebadon Izumi: nice
[10:59] Fly Man: :)
[10:59] Blaksmith Rubble: lol
[10:59] Charles Krinkeb: All I have to do is glance at the clock on my laptop and I know the region is running.
[10:59] Richardus Raymaker is Online
[10:59] Blaksmith Rubble: one thing I noticed... grabbing utc time, it doesn't show seconds
[10:59] Blaksmith Rubble: is that a known issue?
[10:59] Charles Krinkeb: Rats.
[11:00] Blaksmith Rubble: gah, there i go, making it look like I'm typing a novel when I'm not
[11:00] Blaksmith Rubble: I do that in regular SL hehehe
[11:00] Charles Krinkeb: Not to belittle things like that, but I am happy if we just get through Office hour without crashing the plaza.
[11:00] Supercrew Backline is Offline
[11:01] Blaksmith Rubble: hehe.. not complaining... just curious... I'm still only a few days old here in OS
[11:01] Fly Man: k
[11:01] Fly Man: Office Hours time :)
[11:01] Charles Krinkeb: Traffic is picking up. While my avatar was watching the clock the last couple of days, twice folks flew by and landed and struck up a conversation about OSGrid.
[11:02] Blaksmith Rubble: cool
[11:02] Blaksmith Rubble: I'm working on getting a few friends from SL that like to build, come over and play on my sims ...
[11:02] Charles Krinkeb: And thats four regions away to the SouthWest, so folks are traveling the grid.
[11:03] Blaksmith Rubble: I'm way out by Radioactive
[11:03] Blaksmith Rubble: and I had someone visit the first night I set up the sim
[11:03] Fu Barr: i;m going to move to OSgrid at the end of this tier cycle.
[11:03] Richardus Raymaker is Offline
[11:03] tx Oh: yepp, an average of 18 user online is not much for such a huge space osgrid is
[11:03] Fu Barr: will be trying to bring friends to visit
[11:03] Blaksmith Rubble: hehe Fu Barr
[11:03] Charles Krinkeb: Cool. Things are working well for you?
[11:04] Fu Barr: well.. is relative of course
[11:04] Nebadon Izumi: yea thats just at any one moment too
[11:04] Fu Barr: but so far not too bad
[11:04] Nebadon Izumi: we get 100's of visitors a day
[11:04] Richardus Raymaker is Online
[11:05] Blaksmith Rubble: eeps.. chat lag?
[11:05] Richardus Raymaker is Offline
[11:06] Fu Barr is Offline
[11:06] Charles Krinkeb: When several folks log in simultaneously, it stress the software.
[11:06] Richardus Raymaker is Online
[11:06] Blaksmith Rubble: one message never went through .. weird
[11:06] Fu Barr is Online
[11:06] Nebadon Izumi: anyone have anything thats really giving them trouble with their sims?
[11:06] Charles Krinkeb: "Office Hour" is a particularly "stressful" time. When we can handle 50 avatars with no problems, we have truly arrived.
[11:06] Fly Man: Uhm, bouncing avatars ?
[11:07] Blaksmith Rubble: but, the fun part is that knowing that this is still in alpha stage.. and it's come a LONG way from what I hear
[11:07] Richardus Raymaker: yup.
[11:07] You shout: meeting upstairs
[11:07] tx Oh: but should we say we don't want more people logged in because it stresses technology?
[11:07] Admin UCI: my 3x3 region estate still freezes about every 2-10 hours
[11:07] Blaksmith Rubble: bouncing, and standing with feet in the ground / floor
[11:07] Fu Barr rubs his head and is still seeing stars from that crash
[11:07] Admin UCI: I update it almost daily
[11:07] Charles Krinkeb: Nah. We can only move forward. Build it, break it, rebuild it, thats our destiny.
[11:08] Blaksmith Rubble: lol Charles
[11:08] Fly Man: K, and I have a small point
[11:08] Fly Man: Someone on the Mantis was asking when will you be doing "Standard"avatars
[11:08] Fly Man: So I had some time on my hands, leaving OSS for a bit
[11:08] Fly Man: and had some people work on the OpenSim Male and Female
[11:09] Website Display Panel v1.0: Loading URL, Please wait..
[11:09] Fly Man: I'll start with the Female
[11:09] Fly Man: If you look at the big board next to the OS grid screen
[11:09] Fly Man: that's her :)
[11:09] Homer Horwitz: Hi
[11:09] Fu Barr: she's got the sinead look....
[11:09] Darren Vayandar: I can't change clothes at the moment, I can but when I relog, I'm wearing the old ones
[11:09] tx Oh: she is bald
[11:10] Fly Man: Yeah, the bold part is the problem
[11:10] Charles Krinkeb: I bet she can hold her breath for half an hour.
[11:10] Fly Man: can't get any good hair on her
[11:10] Fly Man: and the Male version
[11:11] Website Display Panel v1.0: Loading URL, Please wait..
[11:11] Fly Man: is the screen picks it up
[11:11] Fly Man: if*
[11:11] Fly Man: Yup, there he is :)
[11:12] tx Oh: also bold
[11:12] Fly Man: Yeah
[11:12] tx Oh: bald

[11:12] Richardus Raymaker: looks good
[11:12] Fly Man: Thanks :)
[11:13] Fu Barr wonders why the OSgrid branding?
[11:13] Fly Man: But I was hoping someone could explain or make a good explaining how to get them into the OpenSim Library
[11:13] Charles Krinkeb: One question might be 'Is it an OpenSim core issue to have standard avatars or a grid centric issue and forge for holding the files?"
[11:13] Blaksmith Rubble: yah, does look good for a standard male av ... (better than being female ruthed heheeh)
[11:13] sacha Magne: (still bouncing)
[11:14] Teravus Ousley is Online
[11:14] Fly Man: I think we can safely say that the Standard Avatars are the Owners descision
[11:14] Fly Man: Good Question Charles,
[11:15] sacha Magne: grid centric

[11:15] tx Oh: i'm crashed
[11:15] baballama: ;0
[11:15] baballama: amazing!
[11:16] Nebadon Izumi: hey baba
[11:16] Ter_afk: Good afta-noon
[11:16] Charles Krinkeb: Welcome
[11:16] Teravus Ousley is Offline
[11:16] Fly Man: Hey Ter :)
[11:16] Ter_afk: you know that the UDP server isn't accepting my connections :D
[11:17] Blaksmith Rubble: hmm, not sure if it's my net or not .. I'm not seeing what i'm typing :(
[11:17] Website Display Panel v1.0: Loading URL, Please wait..
[11:17] Homer_Horwitz: Hm, and I said something 2 minutes ago, that still didn't appear...
[11:17] Fly-Man-: Chatlog is slowing again
[11:18] Homer_Horwitz: Yep. *ping* didn't get through.
[11:18] Charles Krinkeb: So, is a LL representative here to discuss OGP or should be start with the next item?
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: yea we are probably out of memory
[11:18] Blaksmith Rubble: 8350 ms ping
[11:18] sacha Magne annouces proudly he started working on the CommandServer today
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: hmm no its not
[11:18] Blaksmith Rubble: maybe
[11:18] nebadon: yea its sloow
[11:18] Blaksmith Rubble: ok, ping is back to normal
[11:18] Homer Horwitz: *ping*?
[11:19] whump: ping
[11:19] Fly-Man-: Afternoon whump :)
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: chat normal again?
[11:19] Homer_Horwitz: Ah, my first ping got through
[11:19] Fly Man: Sacha, the command Module or the Authentication Module ?
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: nope
[11:19] Blaksmith Rubble: chat seems a little better ...
[11:19] whump apologizes, for running late.
[11:19] Homer_Horwitz: Still waiting for my second ping...
[11:20] nebadon: well we should just continue here
[11:20] nebadon: i think the sim is pretty much dead at this point
[11:20] justincc: screwed again, eh?
[11:20] SachaMagne: Command first. we need a consensus for implementing an authentification server
[11:20] nebadon: yea its not responding
[11:20] nebadon: i see chat
[11:20] nebadon: but in world chat is really delayed
[11:20] Charles Krinkeb: rats
[11:20] Charles Krinkeb: How do we move forward?
[11:20] Blaksmith Rubble: what irc is that on.. I'm not seeing it on freenode's irc
[11:20] Fly-Man-: And we only have 14 people on Wright Plaza
[11:20] Homer_Horwitz: I see the IRC chat in-world, but I can't talk in-world.
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: #osgrid-wp
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: oh
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: in world chat recovered
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: its smooth again
[11:21] Homer Horwitz: Really?
[11:21] Fu Barr is seeing lots of chat flying past
[11:21] Charles Krinkeb: Lets proceed slowly.
[11:21] Homer Horwitz: Yep :)
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: seems to be back again
[11:21] Blaksmith: ok
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: we are a-live
[11:21] Homer Horwitz: Yay!
[11:21] Charles Krinkeb: Lets see if Whump can get through? Whump?
[11:21] Richardus Raymaker is Offline
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: sure
[11:21] sacha Magne: .
[11:21] Ter_afk: I think the endpoint sharing is being problemmatic
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: seems to come and go
[11:22] nebadon: people logging in
[11:22] Justin Clark-Casey is Online
[11:22] nebadon: are killing it
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: hey
[11:22] Fu Barr is wondering why peeps arent showing consistently in his friends list...
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: upstairs if you can make it
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:22] Homer Horwitz: Erm, right. With noone being logged on, it runs smoothly ;)
[11:22] Fly Man is Offline
[11:22] Charles Krinkeb: Does that mean we need a console switch to turn logins on and off as some have requested?
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: yea freinds list online status doesnt work to well
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: never really has
[11:22] Homer Horwitz: I'm working on it.
[11:23] Fly-Man-: Charles, yes, that would definitly help
[11:23] Fu Barr: sigh.. my SL frineds arent going to like that much when they come here to visit...
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: wow im happy it recovered
[11:23] justincc: hmm, amusingly I am just a name tag above a chair
[11:23] Homer Horwitz: Friends list, that is.
[11:23] Fly Man is Online
[11:23] Charles Krinkeb: Lets see if Whump can get a word in edgewise.
[11:23] Fu Barr is very happy to hear homer is on the case!
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: the server is not running out of ram
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: or CPU either
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: this is definatly an improvement
[11:23] Blaksmith Rubble: maybe just net congestion?
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: even if its not perfect
[11:23] Charles Krinkeb: Lets move forward and come back to LL and Whump a bit later.
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: sure
[11:24] Nebadon Izumi: whump feel free to speak from IRC
[11:24] Richardus Raymaker is Online
[11:24] justincc: Ter_afk: you think so? In theory it shoudl be fine - we only share it when we aren't interestd in its contents (assuming that;s what you're referring to).
[11:24] Charles Krinkeb: Question: "What are the things the developers need from the testers to make their lives easier in the next week?"
[11:24] Nebadon Izumi: if you can only access from there
[11:24] Justin Clark-Casey: Amusingly all I have in WP is an immovable tag
[11:25] Justin Clark-Casey: which appears to be occupying the chair sitting in wp
[11:25] nebadon: yea
[11:25] nebadon: lag is bad
[11:25] Ter_afk: I dunno justincc.. I tend to have the following situation:
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: wierd
[11:25] nebadon: we are hitting a wall
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: after like a certain number of avatars things just crap
[11:25] Ter_afk: justincc: User A logs on. User B logs on. User B times out. User A looses UDP connection.
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: seems to recover after a bit though
[11:26] whump is scrolling back
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: whump feel free to speak from IRC
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: we are listening
[11:27] Ter_afk: yep. It's easier to see the messages from IRC to the sim then to see the messages from the sim to IRC
[11:27] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[11:27] Nebadon Izumi: i might try to shorten the tag up a bit
[11:28] whump: We're beating back the JIRA list. We're aware of the Linux Open Grid Viewer problem and working on it.
[11:28] justincc: Ter_afk: perhaps it's worth reversing then to see if the effect goes away. I have to admit it's not a problem I've seen myself, but perhaps I somehow have a better link
[11:28] Ter_afk: I think if you implmented color codes.. it would make it easier to read assuming color is allowed.
[11:28] Blaksmith Rubble: ok, I'm still new here, but, wondering ... with MySQL .. I had to set my timeout delay to a year ... (then something happened, and I think it got reset somehow) .. and this morning, I had all the mysql errors again ... I don't know exactally how it works, but would it be feasable to put in a "close connect" then "re-establish connect" to the mysql db? that may allieviate that problem
[11:29] justincc: Blaksmith Rubble: We actually implemented that, but we might have a regression in it
[11:29] Fly Man: Ter_afk, do you have any ideas how to get the bumpiness be gone ?
[11:29] Blaksmith Rubble: ahh ok
[11:29] justincc: Blaksmith Rubble: Althugh the implementation was actually to reopen connections before the timeout hit (otherwise we still have some failure with the database conn expiry)
[11:29] Mic Bowman is Online
[11:30] Ter_afk: Fly-Man: probably have a physics flag to do turn off collision filtering.
[11:30] whump: nebadon: are there questions/requests for the OGP devs from the OpenSim folks?
[11:30] Fly Man: Okay :)
[11:31] paulie Flomar is Offline
[11:31] Fly Man: whump, yesterday you told us that the Domain was closed, is it up again ?
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: anyone have any questions for Whump?
[11:31] justincc: so are you guys able to do anyuthing on wp right now? Is it just me with problems
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: i am
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: im scooting around
[11:31] Ter_afk: whump: at least for me, other then the bugs, I'm waiting to see what's next. We've got this working reasonably well.. but, there's a lot more to a working protocol that's needed.
[11:31] justincc: I see ya
[11:31] whump: yes, there was a second message that went out last night, we did not have to take it down
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: just stood up and sat
[11:32] Blaksmith Rubble: not sure what part of the dev team you are ... but I have a clock script I imported ... grabbing timestamp, it doesn't show the seconds ..
[11:32] whump: ter_afk: yes, please comment on the current drafts on the wiki.
[11:32] justincc: I see some bugs about objects mysteriously not appearing on teleport
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: Blaksmith
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: file a mantis and include the script if you can
[11:32] Blaksmith Rubble: ok
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: yes Justincc i have seen that
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: also
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: parcel data
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: does not update on url
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: until you cross a parcel border
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: your music and movie url and parcel descript are from the previous sim
[11:33] Homer Horwitz: Wait, that was fixed, I thought.
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: it may be
[11:33] Homer Horwitz: Should have been fixed, that is :)
[11:33] Teravus Ousley is Online
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: cool do you have svn # by chance?
[11:34] Fly Man: Yes, and it doesn't update until you move into a new parcel or back to the one you came from
[11:34] Homer Horwitz: One moment, I'll have a look
[11:34] Blaksmith Rubble: in the last few tp's I have done, it seems like the right media has been playing
[11:34] Nebadon Izumi: ya lets test again later
[11:34] justincc: Ter_afk: Earlier - when you said user B timesout (before user A loses connection). Does timeout mean the same as 'loses the connection'?
[11:35] Ter_afk: the connection stops responding to pings for various reasons, and gets disconnected
[11:35] Ter_afk: or.. I log-in when my old session is still active.
[11:35] adjohn quits saying ": "
[11:36] Ter_afk: .. user A's UDP connection stops.
[11:36] Nebadon Izumi: ..
[11:36] Nebadon Izumi: mic test
[11:36] Ter_afk: .. I start to get a 'Resent X packets' messages from the client.. and the client eventually thinks the sim is dead.
[11:36] Nebadon Izumi: yea the logins are killing me
[11:36] Nebadon Izumi: everytime someone logs in the entire sim just stops dead
[11:36] Nebadon Izumi: that should be a priority
[11:37] justincc: perhaps there is some effect then. Could we move the ReceiveBegin() until after the packet has been processed, or would that delay receive too much (which I suspect)?
[11:37] Homer_Horwitz: Nebadon: parcel media updates should work since r6744
[11:37] Nebadon Izumi: k great
[11:37] Homer_Horwitz: (mantis #1091)
[11:37] justincc: I was trying to eliminate the race condition which I presume exists, whereby once the BeginReceive is called, data from another client may start being processed before the previous thread has finishd with the epSender....
[11:39] justincc: perhaps the current issues with WP are a result of the fact that we are into swap
[11:40] nebadon: its possible
[11:40] Ter_afk: I really can't move without walking into walls :D
[11:40] nebadon: but it started before we were into swap
[11:40] nebadon: im pretty sure
[11:40] Ter_afk: the reaction time is very slow.
[11:41] nebadon: and Justin
[11:41] nebadon: there have been tims
[11:41] nebadon: i have been on Wirght Plaza with 4-5 people
[11:41] nebadon: and it was using 2gb ram
[11:41] Richardus Raymaker is Offline
[11:41] Homer_Horwitz: If you do GC on swapspace, you will need a *lot* of time.
[11:41] nebadon: and it was smooth as butter
[11:41] nebadon: it has something to do with high avatar count
[11:41] Richardus Raymaker is Online
[11:41] nebadon: and logins
[11:41] nebadon: it just locks it up
[11:41] justincc: it's getting very difficult to disentangle all these issues - we've been having problems for many weeks now
[11:42] nebadon: yea
[11:42] nebadon: well i can tell you
[11:42] nebadon: if im alone on WP
[11:42] nebadon: and 1 person logs in
[11:42] nebadon: i freeze
[11:42] nebadon: until they are fully visible
[11:42] nebadon: then i can move again
[11:42] nebadon: happens quite alot
[11:42] justincc: perhaps the login process is taking locks (it will be relatively slow because of the need for db and service accesses)
[11:42] Ter_afk: unfortunately.. I can't tell how many packets are going out/in anymore.. havn't bene able to wof a while now.
[11:42] nebadon: when we get 4-5-6-10 people hitting at once
[11:42] nebadon: it just dies
[11:43] Ter_afk: the stats are not active
[11:43] justincc: frame times are massive on wp certainly
[11:43] Richardus Raymaker: its not stable. i crahsed. and still saw chat
[11:43] nebadon: yea
[11:43] nebadon: last night justin
[11:43] nebadon: i packed up all my stuff in freebie garden
[11:43] Mic Bowman is Offline
[11:43] nebadon: reduced tons of scripts

[11:43] justincc: Ter_afk: If you want to revert all the recent changes on LLUDPServer please do so
[11:43] nebadon: i really reduced it quite a bit
[11:44] nebadon: just to see
[11:44] Fly-Man-: WP looked like a green grass field
[11:44] SachaMagne: meh ?
[11:44] nebadon: i saw virtually no change
[11:44] Fly-Man-: nothing was showing
[11:44] nebadon: ah
[11:44] Ter_afk: justincc: I don't know enough about what you changed exactly to be able to do that reliably
[11:44] nebadon: yea its dead then
[11:44] nebadon: if your not seeing prims
[11:44] nebadon: its totally dead
[11:44] Ter_afk: justincc: nor do I really want to just 'revert' a change.
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: im alive
[11:44] Fly-Man-: Ckrinke rebooted it
[11:44] Homer_Horwitz: Still seeing IRC chat on it
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: and moving around
[11:44] justincc: Ter_afk: I think you could just go back a few hundred revisions?
[11:44] Fly-Man-: after that, it was fine
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: ckrinke rebooted what?
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: oh
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: it will be fine
[11:44] Blaksmith: eeps, just crashed out ...
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: right now though
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: im alive
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: in world
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: walking around
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: and typing
[11:45] Fly Man: Yes
[11:45] justincc: Ter_afk: originally I was just reorganizing everything so that I could write unit tests (which may eventually help)
[11:45] Fly Man: the chat lag seems less now
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: yea logins stopped
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: thats why
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:45] Fly Man: Let's count how many are on WP now ?
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi screams LOGINS!!!
[11:45] Darren Vayandar: I've come back to life now too
[11:45] Blaksmith Rubble is Offline
[11:45] Fly Man: 10
[11:45] justincc: but then I thought I saw both a race condition, and a place where the endpoint could be reused instead of newing one up on each data receive
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: they want your brains
[11:45] Fly Man: So with 10 ppl it works
[11:45] Blaksmith Rubble is Online
[11:46] Fly Man: after that, logins kick in and it's dying
[11:46] justincc: but it's certainly not impossible that I've inadvertedly done things which shouldn;'t have been done, particularly if you've started to see all these UDP problems
[11:46] Fly Man: then revives when the logins are done
[11:46] Fly Man is Offline
[11:46] Ter_afk: well, I don't see any more 'packet out of order' messages..
[11:46] Fu Barr: nebs having a fit...
[11:46] Fly-Man-: Let's try this
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: waaahhh
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:46] justincc: we had to end up creating a new IPEndPonit each time anyway because I failed to realize originally that eliminating it entirely would create a new race condition
[11:47] justincc: Ter_afk: ah, this was a possible race condition unrelated to the packet out of order issues...
[11:47] Nebadon Izumi: i call this animation "Login Seizure Fit"
[11:47] Richardus Raymaker: lol
[11:47] Fly-Man-: Ter_afk, watch closely
[11:47] Fly Man is Online
[11:47] Fly-Man-: What do you see now ?
[11:47] justincc: Ter_afk: do you know how packets in/out was broken? Can we fix it?
[11:47] Blaksmith Rubble: LOL Neb
[11:47] Fu Barr sees lots of gray avvys....
[11:47] Teravus Ousley: nope
[11:48] Teravus Ousley: .. but now my text is blue....
[11:48] justincc: maybe it was because I stopped the stats packet being reused....?
[11:48] Teravus Ousley: .. must be a viewering thing.
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:49] Teravus Ousley: well, Fly Man, I notice that the simulator is running really slow
[11:49] Justin Clark-Casey: epileptictastic
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: hnehe indeed
[11:49] Teravus Ousley: .. like 0.2 time dilation
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: justin
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: can you view video?
[11:49] Justin Clark-Casey: maybe
[11:49] Teravus Ousley: so, it's really no wonder that physics is having a problem sorting out what's a real collision and what's a fake one.
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: this eyeball had
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: hat
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: plays youtube urls
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: on this screen
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: watch
[11:50] Teravus Ousley: Honestly.. Sims should run at 100ms or less in frame time or there's a problem.
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: this is streaming directly from youtube
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: its in the freebie garden
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: you can grab a copy
[11:50] Justin Clark-Casey: I might be mistaken - looks like I can't play video atm after all
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: ah no worries
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: you can grab a copy in the freebie garden
[11:51] Justin Clark-Casey: teravus: I do seem to have a constant very small bounce on
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: compliments of tx Oh
[11:51] Blaksmith Rubble: I have to add a plugin so I can watch vids too ... :(
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: yea
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: thats another thing
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: bounce is bad
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: with multiple avatars
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: if im here alone
[11:51] Teravus Ousley: yep
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: no bounce
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: 2-3 avatars
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: it goes bonkers
[11:51] Fu Barr was wondering what that was....
[11:51] Teravus Ousley: It's the collision filtering.. keeping things from exploding physics wise being 'over zealous'
[11:51] Justin Clark-Casey: a lot of the ft is apparantly agent time / sim time (other) though rather than physics
[11:52] Blaksmith Rubble: oh, another thing with physics .. I have a "railing" round my pier, and the distance where it stops the av from the pier is a good 1/2 m away if not a little more
[11:52] Fly Man: I have a FPS of 9 here now
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: test it out someone
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: go to youtube
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: find a video
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: and type /4 urlhere
[11:53] Homer Horwitz: Hopping out for now... I'll be on IRC.
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: it will play
[11:53] Fu Barr tried and saw grayness... lots of it...
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: hmm yea you need quicktime
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: or in linux you need some other plugin
