Myriad Lite Server CSV

The Server CSVs are comma-separate-values notecards contain example Myriad statistics, resiliences, skills, boons, flaws, and such for you to draw from to create your specific setting.

The CSV servers hold the example data from the Myriad Special Edition book.

Not all of this data will be used in any one region.

As a region owner, you will pick and choose which of these will be useful for your region and configure the lists of chosen items into your Region Setting server.

If you will not be using the Character Creator, this step can be skipped for now.

Later changes to the Myriad Lite system may require these servers to provide data to other Myriad Lite components.

Setup

  1. In an out-of-the-way place in your region, create 9 prims named the following:
    1. Myriad Lite Server CSV
    2. Myriad Lite Boons Client
    3. Myriad Lite Equipment Client
    4. Myriad Lite Flaws Client
    5. Myriad Lite Point Pools Client
    6. Myriad Lite Resiliences Client
    7. Myriad Lite SFX Client
    8. Myriad Lite Skills Client
    9. Myriad Lite Statistics Client
  2. Copy all 8 CSV notecards into the Server CSV prim.
  3. Copy all 8 Server CSV scripts into the Server CSV prim.
  4. Copy each Client script into its prim.

When complete, you should have 1 Server CSV prim and 8 Client prims.

As each Server: CSV script initializes it loads the CSV data.

As each Client prim initializes, it requests the list of data from its corresponding server prim.

If you click the client prim, it will request the list, each default data item, and an invalid data item to perform a basic functionality test of the server.
