[10:59] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, Jagga. Hello, Kayaker.
[10:59] Jagga Meredith: hi
[11:00] Kayaker Magic: Hi Andrew.
[11:00] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, Selby
[11:00] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: hi everyone
[11:01] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, Gavin.
[11:01] Kayaker Magic: Hi Selby!
[11:01] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: Hey guys
[11:02] Andrew Hellershanks: I'll send a meeting reminder out in IRC.
[11:02] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: Is this regions slow to load today?
[11:03] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hi Kayaker, Gavin
[11:03] Andrew Hellershanks: Not that I noticed.
[11:03] Jagga Meredith: I had no problem
[11:03] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I had wiped the cache since the last time, so that might be it
[11:04] Andrew Hellershanks nods
[11:04] Kayaker Magic: No problem for me.
[11:04] Andrew Hellershanks: That would explain it.
[11:04] Kayaker Magic: I have a show and tell. Outside to my right is an animesh sail flapping in the wind.
[11:04] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Not slow for me
[11:05] Kayaker Magic: Oh, It has a brick texture, just to give it some detail.
[11:05] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: it animates, but looks very crumbled?
[11:05] Kayaker Magic: If you click on it, it switches between 4 different animations.
[11:06] Kayaker Magic: It is one-sided, I didn't bother to make the other side until I got this working.
[11:07] Andrew Hellershanks: I'm not seeing the animesh, Kayaker.
[11:07] Jagga Meredith: its invisible from the back
[11:07] Kayaker Magic: What version of viewer are you using?
[11:07] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I only see a very crumbled mesh which moves when cliked on
[11:08] Kayaker Magic: It does look crumpled if I load it wrong....
[11:08] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: ok
[11:08] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, I'm using Firestorm 6.4.13 (632510)
[11:08] Kayaker Magic: FS 6.4.13 should see animesh....
[11:08] Andrew Hellershanks: oops. (65321)
[11:09] Kayaker Magic: I'm on a beta FS 6.4.21
[11:09] Andrew Hellershanks: I see the dancing animesh beside the building.
[11:09] Kayaker Magic: OK, I'll put trianges on the back side before I show it off again.....
[11:09] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: could you try re-rezzing it Kayaker?
[11:10] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, Found it. It is a once sided object. It can be seen looking out from the building but not from the outside looking towards the building.
[11:10] Kayaker Magic: You are not allowed to size animesh.... LL implimented them strange....
[11:10] Jamie.Jordan @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hi everybody
[11:10] Andrew Hellershanks: Hello, Jamie
[11:11] Kayaker Magic: There may be a way to resize them by loading an animation, I have not figured that out yet.
[11:11] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: can be resized via the rigging
[11:11] Andrew Hellershanks: Kayaker, I've heard that too about not being able to resize mesh.
[11:12] Kayaker Magic: Regular mesh, resizing works normal, animesh has many strange behaviors.
[11:12] Kayaker Magic: Like you cannot focus on it, cannot touch it
[11:12] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: it behaves just like a rigged avatar when it comes to size
[11:12] Kayaker Magic: (except with the pie menu)
[11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: Don't know why they would have chosen to treat animesh differently from regular mesh when it comes to resizing.
[11:12] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: you have to change the size of the bones and joint displacement to change the size
[11:13] Kayaker Magic: But they ignore the rig offsets in BVH files. I've changed those with no effect.
[11:14] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: because it is rigged to the avatar skeleton, so in order to not break everything it have to behave as an avatar when it coes to sizing and animations
[11:14] Andrew Hellershanks: Sounds like another couple of issues that could be solved in an OS specific viewer.
[11:15] Kayaker Magic: We would have to start out "compatible" and implementing all the crazy behavior.
[11:15] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: yes, rigging and rendering
[11:15] Andrew Hellershanks nods
[11:15] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: + animation too
[11:16] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: but if you have a budget :-)
[11:16] Jagga Meredith: I could ante up a couple of bucks
[11:16] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: mega bucks
[11:17] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: is needed
[11:17] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: like in MUSD
[11:17] Jagga Meredith: /end sarcasm
[11:19] Andrew Hellershanks: :)
[11:19] Kayaker Magic: I've been beating on animesh, submitting mantusi. Did everyone see my mantis with the video?
[11:19] Kayaker Magic: That turned out to happen in SL also, so viewer bug.
[11:20] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: or feature
[11:20] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: did you report it in SL?
[11:20] Kayaker Magic: Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z__HrxukEtQ
[11:20] Kayaker Magic: I asked Beq about how to get authorized to submit it as a Jira.
[11:21] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: anyone can make a jira
[11:21] Kayaker Magic: But I think she is on a vacation or something....
[11:21] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: but you cannot see the LL internal ones, and you won't get authorization for that
[11:21] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: use your normal SL ID to file a jira
[11:21] Andrew Hellershanks: I've seen that video with the disappearing plane.
[11:22] Kayaker Magic: I followed a Jira link she puts in the beta emails, and it asked for a password, my SL one didn't work....
[11:22] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: if it happens in SL, your safest bet it to get it fixed there
[11:22] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: of course not
[11:22] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: FS has LL access
[11:22] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: you will not get that
[11:22] Kayaker Magic: Yeah, working on that. I'll submit it and then hold my breath until it is fixed.
[11:23] Ubit Umarov: hi
[11:23] Kayaker Magic: UBIT!
[11:23] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: hi
[11:23] Ubit Umarov: ( sorry im a bit late :) )
[11:23] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hi Ybit
[11:23] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Ubut
[11:23] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Ubit
[11:23] Ubit Umarov: you will get it :=
[11:24] Ubit Umarov: you did :)
[11:24] Ubit Umarov: so what's new?
[11:24] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
[11:24] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: and use the Create button on that screen Kayaker
[11:25] Andrew Hellershanks: There has been quite a few commits this past week.
[11:25] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: Kayaker describes the beavior of the animesh plane was the same in SL
[11:25] Ubit Umarov: ah hyes
[11:25] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: so I say file a jira in SL
[11:26] Ubit Umarov: wlel or fs one
[11:26] Andrew Hellershanks: wlel?
[11:26] Ubit Umarov: unless you did tested with sl viewer also
[11:26] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: file in in SL JIRA, and then get some FS person to follow up and pster them
[11:26] Kayaker Magic: I also tried the test with a simpler mesh with no animations and demonstrated the same disappearing trick
[11:27] Kayaker Magic: I tried it with several versions of FS, is there still an LL SL viewer?
[11:27] Ubit Umarov: to file on sl jira, you should test with sl viewer
[11:27] Ubit Umarov: ofc there is.. it is the reference
[11:27] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: of course there is Kayaker
[11:28] Kayaker Magic: I don't know anyone who uses it....
[11:28] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: the LL viewer is the reference
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: if you file with fs then will tell ll if issue is generic
[11:28] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: about 50% of the users do
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: it mean they will tell
[11:28] Kayaker Magic: Is there a Linux version of the SL viewer?
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: no
[11:28] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: download the SL viewer, test it there and report to their JIRA if the finding is the same
[11:29] Ubit Umarov: or jsut file on fs jira
[11:29] Kayaker Magic: Have to do that on my Win10 Laptop I guess....
[11:29] Ubit Umarov: do make clear on subjtc that it is a SL also issue
[11:29] Ubit Umarov: that way other devs will look also
[11:29] Ubit Umarov: if you tell opensim, only beq will, mostly :)
[11:30] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: no they won't
[11:30] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: if it behaves like that in the SL viewer, LL will have to fix it first
[11:30] Ubit Umarov: you cna also file on dayturn jira
[11:30] Ubit Umarov: ;)
[11:30] Kayaker Magic: Wasn't planning on mentioning OpenSim at all....
[11:30] Kayaker Magic: LOL
[11:31] Ubit Umarov: :)
[11:31] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: anything animesh will have to be handled by LL code
[11:31] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: there isn't a single viewer that does use anything else
[11:32] Ubit Umarov: ok
[11:33] Andrew Hellershanks: Looking over the commits this past week there are several related to statistics.
[11:33] Ubit Umarov: andrew did review last week.. ok that..
[11:33] Ubit Umarov: :)
[11:33] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: there actually is a dayturn jira :-) https://dayturn.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/DAYTW/issues/
[11:33] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: just not public
[11:33] Ubit Umarov: :)
[11:34] Andrew Hellershanks: It will be public now in the logs. :)
[11:34] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: hehe
[11:34] Ubit Umarov: yah on code changes...
[11:34] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: You can also file a support issue in the forum https://www.dayturn.com/viewer/index.php?forums/support.15/
[11:35] Ubit Umarov: the json sim stats did work well on simulators with several regions
[11:35] Ubit Umarov: it now takes query ?region=regionName or ?region=regionUUID to specify the wanted region
[11:35] Andrew Hellershanks: Some stats were added according to the change logs. I need to run a diff to find out what stats were added as the change log didn't give any detail.
[11:35] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I have not tested it yet
[11:36] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: does it have to be enabled in the simulator?
[11:36] Ubit Umarov: think so
[11:36] Ubit Umarov: or is by default
[11:36] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: ok
[11:36] Andrew Hellershanks: In the past I've had to change the configuration to enable WebStats and jsonSimStats.
[11:36] Ubit Umarov: i added NPCs count to it
[11:37] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: is there a sample url you want to share with us? :-)
[11:37] Ubit Umarov: http://opensimulator.org/wiki/UXSimStatus
[11:37] Ubit Umarov: a updated response example there
[11:38] Ubit Umarov: well if i did remember this ip we could test on this :)
[11:38] Ubit Umarov: this region ip
[11:38] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: isn't there an osl to get the region IP?
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: without ?region is will at least answer about the same region, unlike old code
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: you can test later on yours :)
[11:41] Ubit Umarov: http://45.16.92.34:9830/jsonSimStats
[11:41] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: :-))
[11:42] Andrew Hellershanks: The majority of the other code changes were made to the scripting engines. One of the changes addressed an issue with handling NULs in the serializer.
[11:42] Ubit Umarov: or http://45.16.92.34:9830/jsonSimStats?region?Dev Outreach
[11:42] Ubit Umarov: ?region ofc not usefull if sim runs one region only :)
[11:42] Ubit Umarov: oops
[11:43] Ubit Umarov: put %20 there after Dev
[11:43] Ubit Umarov: Dev%20Outreach
[11:43] Andrew Hellershanks: It worked both ways, Ubit. I was half expecting we would access the URL and crash the region. :)
[11:43] Ubit Umarov: spaces are not allowed on uir
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: uir
[11:44] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: Safari put it in
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: grrr
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: URI
[11:44] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: so did not have to do anyting
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: ok
[11:44] Andrew Hellershanks: Firefox handled the space in the region name.
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: fixed a issue on Yengine
[11:45] Ubit Umarov: a script from X did lost state on tp to a second Y region :)
[11:45] Ubit Umarov: worked fine on first :)
[11:45] Andrew Hellershanks: Ubit, I think that URL should be -> ?region=<region name>
[11:47] Ubit Umarov: hmm it is.. but ok
[11:47] Andrew Hellershanks: If it gets a region name that it doesn't know it returns nothing.
[11:47] Ubit Umarov: other code change was on landmark creation
[11:48] Ubit Umarov: one region answer is now via http and not lludp
[11:48] Ubit Umarov: new beta fs, and possible other did not work
[11:49] Ubit Umarov: well on some region did.. just depending on timing
[11:49] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I just created a LM here and it placed in the suitcase back on my grid which run the updated code
[11:49] Ubit Umarov: fs still does a strange thing, i need Beq to check
[11:49] Andrew Hellershanks: Timing issues are always a pain
[11:50] Ubit Umarov: not sure if you added sl changes to Dayturn on that
[11:50] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: not all of them, but a lot
[11:50] Ubit Umarov: well i think all that creation code, even the new is just bad
[11:50] Ubit Umarov: to now tell stupid
[11:50] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I did not like some of the way they placed new landmarks
[11:51] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: so I omitted that, but it was primarily UI
[11:51] Ubit Umarov: Favorits should not be a storage place
[11:51] Ubit Umarov: it should only have links
[11:51] Ubit Umarov: thats one
[11:51] Ubit Umarov: ( ie be like current outfit )
[11:52] Ubit Umarov: then stupid code always creates the lm at favorits as soon we click lm this place
[11:52] Ubit Umarov: then opens a dialog for us to edit and decide other place on inv for the lm
[11:53] Ubit Umarov: them even if we do not change, it updates the item contents still on favorites
[11:53] Ubit Umarov: then id we did pick other folder, it moves it
[11:53] Ubit Umarov: silly bad code
[11:54] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: there is a change in from LL that does not automatically place in Favorites
[11:54] Ubit Umarov: guess sl dev been lazy reusing older code
[11:54] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I guess they FS version you have does not have that change
[11:54] Ubit Umarov: it does create at fav alwasy
[11:55] Ubit Umarov: of oyu later tell cancel, it deletes it
[11:55] Ubit Umarov: so stupid
[11:55] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: they did not use old code
[11:56] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: they make and programmed a complete new flow for the landmarks
[11:56] Ubit Umarov: well but did a total crap code
[11:56] Ubit Umarov: that does what the old did
[11:57] Ubit Umarov: there im wih sl viewer at sl
[11:57] Ubit Umarov: did click lm this plave, have the lm on favorits and a dialog open to change the description etc
[11:57] Ubit Umarov: i did cancel and viewer went delete it from favorites
[11:58] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: since there is a FT_FAVORITE inventory folder item, they will of course use that or break every inventory that exist
[11:58] Ubit Umarov: this is stupid
[11:58] Ubit Umarov: the lm should had not left viewer
[11:58] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: the cancel action is expected behavior after input from the FS folks
[11:58] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: it did not do that initially
[11:58] Ubit Umarov: it is stuped
[11:59] Ubit Umarov: since there is the dialog, the lm should only be created at close of the dialo
[11:59] Ubit Umarov: if not canceled
[11:59] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: they screamed about it so it go changed to the behavior you now se
[11:59] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: see
[11:59] Ubit Umarov: and already created on final location
[11:59] Ubit Umarov: thats pure nonsense code
[12:00] Ubit Umarov: but well
[12:00] Ubit Umarov: i did told Beq.. but guess she wil just follow ll crap code
[12:00] Ubit Umarov: as im telling gavin here
[12:01] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I have the old behavior
[12:01] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: as I did not like the new one
[12:01] Ubit Umarov: well region code was getting confused with that inventory item mastur.. mess
[12:01] Ubit Umarov: origial code was just create on lm folder
[12:02] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: which is what I have
[12:02] Ubit Umarov: then edit was added, and with that 2 stepts.. create and mofdify, already silly
[12:02] Andrew Hellershanks: I don't want LM's going to Favourites unless I put them there.
[12:02] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I agree Andrew
[12:03] Andrew Hellershanks: Hm... we just lost Ubit.
[12:03] Ubit Umarov: OOPS
[12:03] Andrew Hellershanks: Hit the wrong button, Ubit?
[12:03] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: did you test a LM? :-)
[12:03] Ubit Umarov: wrong click :)
[12:03] Andrew Hellershanks: hehe
[12:03] Ubit Umarov: yeah had a stupid test one on fav bar
[12:04] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: try teleport to region coordinate 0,0,0
[12:04] Ubit Umarov: bc SL does default to it and so does fs ofc
[12:04] Andrew Hellershanks: We are at the top of the hour. One last set of code changes to mention are ones related to inventory management. More specifically it appears to be related to updating inventory.
[12:04] Ubit Umarov: why would i tp there?
[12:05] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: because presvious viewers made a real mess of it
[12:05] Ubit Umarov: actually seen a cde on viewer excluding 0,0,0 from the region
[12:05] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: so to see what happens
[12:05] Ubit Umarov: or 0,y on x,0
[12:05] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: there was a recent change to fix it yes
[12:05] Ubit Umarov: ( has >, shoudl have >=
[12:06] Ubit Umarov: i iddi remove a old module
[12:06] Ubit Umarov: SHA-1: b4fea2f34370c42edc946c16cf6f9c04c3593195

* remove module BinaryLoggingModule. It did store the region statistics sent to viewers, using its own binary format ( derived from openmetaverse idea of the respective viewers llupd packet ), not only hard to use but also limited
[12:07] Ubit Umarov: bc i also did some cleanup on region statistics code
[12:07] Ubit Umarov: add names for the idenxes etc
[12:07] Ubit Umarov: we had all over the place things like lastStats[32]
[12:08] Ubit Umarov: and ofc some of those numbers where wrong
[12:08] Ubit Umarov: now i added enums.. so we can use a readavle name
[12:08] Ubit Umarov: like Stats.NCP
[12:08] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: great
[12:09] Ubit Umarov: or StatsIndex.
[12:10] Ubit Umarov: that module was storing some stats on its own binary format
[12:10] Ubit Umarov: hard to read, etc
[12:10] Ubit Umarov: no usefull and was on my way :p
[12:10] Ubit Umarov: not..
[12:10] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: why was it created like that in the first place?
[12:11] Ubit Umarov: guess intel folks needed it
[12:11] Ubit Umarov: for dsg etc
[12:11] Ubit Umarov: so they made it and shared.. ok
[12:11] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: k
[12:12] Andrew Hellershanks: Any last minute items for today?
[12:12] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: There was a new viewer build out a couple days back with the Vivox VAD setting changes from the latest SL viewer
[12:12] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: as always at https://www.dayturn.com/viewer/index.php?resources/
[12:13] Ubit Umarov: ty
[12:13] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: yw
[12:13] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: I am not convinced they actually doo much, but ok
[12:14] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: might help for users without echo cancelling mics
[12:14] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: noise canceling of course :-)
[12:16] Ubit Umarov: it is echo also
[12:16] Ubit Umarov: can be a pain in some cases
[12:16] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: sure
[12:17] Selby.Evans @grid.kitely.com:8002: Must go --bye all
[12:17] Ubit Umarov: cya
[12:17] Andrew Hellershanks: ok, Selby. Thanks for dropping by.
[12:17] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: at least now there are params to tweak, and you can set it back to auto
[12:18] Jamie.Jordan @grid.kitely.com:8002: have a great week yall
[12:18] Gavin.Hird @grid.xmir.org:8002: you too
