[2012/02/21 12:04] Andrew Hellershanks: I'll have to check where that export feature is located now

[11:05] Richardus Raymaker: hi sarah
[11:06] Nebadon Izumi: you guys might have noticed we have a special guest wandering around the region today
[11:06] Richardus Raymaker: 'the NPC's here look much the same as pathfinder. only npc's cant walk around abjects right now

[11:07] Sarah Kline: lol$
[11:07] Nebadon Izumi: my system is not quite perfect yet
[11:07] Nebadon Izumi: i have some ideas on how to improve it still
[11:08] Aramis Soren: calling them all here?
[11:08] VivK Lowlag: can it be set up as a follower?
[11:08] Nebadon Izumi: not sure
[11:08] Nebadon Izumi: it would probably be pretty laggy if you did
[11:08] Nebadon Izumi: hard to say
[11:09] Nebadon Izumi: there are a few short comings in my current system that need addressing
[11:09] Nebadon Izumi: but i think im off to a pretty good start
[11:09] Nebadon Izumi: this system uses zero times
[11:10] Nebadon Izumi: its pretty passive
[11:10] Aramis Soren: looks good
[11:10] Nebadon Izumi: I do however need to add some checks into the breadcrumbs and npc attachment
[11:10] Richardus Raymaker: for some reason i want to bother that NPC.
[11:10] Nebadon Izumi: i'll probably work on that later today
[11:11] Andrew Hellershanks: Now there is an NPC wandering around here too? :-)
[11:11] Richardus Raymaker: well, last opensim version seems pretty good
[11:11] Nebadon Izumi: i eventually need to make it so several npc can follow same trail
[11:11] Nebadon Izumi: ya i have a NPC walking around today
[11:11] Nebadon Izumi: i wanted to see how well one would perform under a heavier region load
[11:11] Nebadon Izumi: doing good so far
[11:11] Richardus Raymaker: make a little bit offset then. so the dont follow the trail 100% the ame
[11:12] Aramis Soren: will be putting my regions back up tonite after i get slackware installed here, will use latest osgrid version
[11:13] Justin Clark-Casey: nebadon: how do you do waypointing. using LSL target stuff?
[11:13] Nebadon Izumi: yes
[11:13] Nebadon Izumi: i have a sync button
[11:13] Nebadon Izumi: 2 buttons
[11:13] Richardus Raymaker: hmmm
[11:13] Nebadon Izumi: it uses the waypoints prim name
[11:13] Nebadon Izumi: which is formatted like this > ROUTE;1;WAYPOINT;1;NWP
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: NWP = Next Waypont
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: route / waypoint / config
[11:14] Richardus Raymaker: but thats verhicle stuff for me
[11:14] Richardus Raymaker: only way i could do that where with sensor
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: TPS = Teleport to Start
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: then once i get all the waypoints layed down
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: i have a reset scripts button
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: that resets all the waypoints to get thier new names
[11:14] Nebadon Izumi: then a sync button
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: then they all talk to each other to trade coordinates and configs
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: that also tells them where to send their particles too
[11:15] Aramis Soren: is that what was on the platform in the video?
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: when its visible
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: yes same scripts as the video
[11:15] Justin Clark-Casey: cool
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: are here currently
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: you can see now when the NPC gets to the last waypoint
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: he teleports back to the 1st waypoint
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: i also have LOOP config
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: which will walk him back to 1st waypoint
[11:16] Nebadon Izumi: and eventually there will be just DIE config
[11:16] Richardus Raymaker: well, NPC's dont have the problem the start to spin when you hit them. wish that where fixt in the movetotarget.
[11:16] Nebadon Izumi: which derezzes the NPC when he gets to last point
[11:16] Andrew Hellershanks: Should be easy to have multiple NPC's follow same path. WHen message for next waypoint is sent out, include the UUID of the NPC in the message. Other NPC's will ignore message that doesn't have their own UUID
[11:17] Aramis Soren: now just dress them up as robocop and terminators with shoot-to-kill on griefing hehe
[11:17] Dahlia Trimble: hi
[11:17] Andrew Hellershanks: hehe
[11:17] Nebadon Izumi: ya i am going to do a waypoint check
[11:17] Richardus Raymaker: hi dahlia
[11:17] Nebadon Izumi: i will have it grab the colliders UUID
[11:17] Andrew HellershanksAndrew Hellershanks nods
[11:17] Nebadon Izumi: and also have the npcs attachment get its owners UUID
[11:17] Richardus Raymaker: anyone have a fix how to stop spinning cubes on movetotarget ?
[11:18] Justin Clark-Casey: that guy looks suspiciously familiar
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:18] Richardus Raymaker: thats what i thinked the first time to justin. i think when does neb takje a stair ??
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: Justin
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: something to think about when fixing the script ownership issue of attachments on NPC
[11:19] Justin Clark-Casey: having just thought about it a bit more, I suspect that attachments will have to stay owned by NPCs
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: lslGetOwner
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: still needs to return the NPCs uuid
[11:19] Justin Clark-Casey: yeah
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: err llGetOwner
[11:20] Justin Clark-Casey: I think possibly your suggestion of having an NPC perm setting might work better
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: i also think so
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: less complicated
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: i am very happy with NPC stuff so far
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: its been fun making it work
[11:21] Richardus Raymaker: test
[11:21] Richardus Raymaker: it looks good
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: MarcusLlew is also working on some stuff
[11:21] Sarah Kline: now we need to be able to shoot them
[11:21] Sarah Kline: )
[11:22] VivK Lowlag: love the suggestion Sarah
[11:22] Dahlia Trimble: cant shoot them now?
[11:22] Nebadon Izumi: you could
[11:23] Richardus Raymaker: poor NPC's the new mythbuster dummy's
[11:23] VivK Lowlag: oh how do they respond to the landmines?
[11:23] Sarah Kline: lol
[11:23] Nebadon Izumi: probably the same way any avatar wold
[11:23] Sarah Kline: i saw a few exploding drums
[11:23] Simulator Version v0.5 shouts: OpenSim 0.7.3 Dev dcea239: 2012-02-19 12:28:47 -0800 (Unix/Mono)
[11:23] BlueWall Slade: lol, telehub rhoulette
[11:24] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:24] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:24] Justin Clark-Casey: sorry
[11:24] Taarna Welles: ouch!
[11:24] Dahlia Trimble: oooou particles
[11:24] Sarah Kline: ^^
[11:24] Justin Clark-Casey: when I see a landmine first thing I want to do is stand on it :0
[11:24] Aramis Soren: any way to just let them wander around or do they have to have waypoints right now?
[11:24] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: we were playing telehub roullete at Lbsa Plaza other night
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: we setup a telehub with 5 spawn points
[11:25] Aramis Soren: suppose you could randomize the next waypoint, then they'd get stuck
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: one had a landmine
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: it was fun
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:25] Dahlia Trimble: I had a wandering physical prim but it needs some work still
[11:25] Dahlia Trimble: gets stuck on hills
[11:25] Nebadon Izumi: we need llCastRay
[11:25] Richardus Raymaker: sounds nice command
[11:26] Dahlia Trimble: need navmesh
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: hmm
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: Natales is spewing the console again
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: everytime she comes here
[11:26] Aramis Soren: sounds like fun times coming soon then lol unleash a few in SL let them go recruit for us
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: massive spew
[11:26] Nalates Urriah: Does Bullet have anything like Havok's pathfinding?
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: Nalates I mean
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: not sure
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: your using Dolphin viewer again Nalates?
[11:26] Taarna Welles: Pathfinding is fun
[11:26] Nalates Urriah: Sorry... that has to be Dolphin3...
[11:26] Nebadon Izumi: ya so odd
[11:26] Richardus Raymaker: NPC's are pretty close to pathfinder sofar i know pathfinder
[11:27] Aramis Soren: A new Life Awaits you in the Off-World Colonies... Join OSGrid today!
[11:27] Nebadon Izumi: its massive spew fest on sim console
[11:27] Dahlia Trimble: the LL stuff just looked like A-star and navmesh
[11:27] Justin Clark-Casey: nebadon: same place in open profile module
[11:27] Taarna Welles: would be nice if so
[11:27] Justin Clark-Casey: threy haven't changed that code yet?
[11:27] Nalates Urriah: I can change viewers. DON"T talk about me while I'm gone.
[11:27] Nebadon Izumi: they who?
[11:27] Justin Clark-Casey: bluewall and/or andrew, I guess :)
[11:27] Nebadon Izumi: your the only one with access
[11:27] Nebadon Izumi: to the git repo
[11:28] Nebadon Izumi: but no i dont think anyone has made any changes
[11:28] Nebadon Izumi: i do remember talking about that though
[11:28] Nebadon Izumi: Andrew / BlueWall have you guys looked at that at all?
[11:28] Justin Clark-Casey: nebadon: the immediate problem is in the open profile module, not opensim core
[11:28] Justin Clark-Casey: whether that'#s the root cause is another question, it may or may not be
[11:28] BlueWall Slade: what is the error?
[11:28] Nebadon Izumi: 19:28:44 - [LLCLIENTVIEW]: Caught exception while processing OpenMetaverse.Packets.AvatarPropertiesRequestPacket for Taarna Welles, The given key was not present in the dictionary. at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[System.String,System.Object].get_Item (System.String key) [0x000a8] in /root/install/mono2108/mono-2.10.8/mcs/class/corlib/System.Collections.Generic/Dictionary.cs:150

[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: looks like Taarna is doing it now too
[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: it seemed to start when Nalates came in
[11:29] Taarna Welles: ??
[11:29] Richardus Raymaker: Taarna, you use firestorm ? wich version ?
[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: what viewer are you using Taarna?
[11:29] Taarna Welles: Firestorm Nebadon
[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: k
[11:29] Dahlia Trimble: who's bombing us?
[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: something in v3 viewer then i guess
[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: its the NPC
[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:29] Richardus Raymaker: latest version taarna. and hi
[11:30] Dahlia Trimble: oh
[11:30] BlueWall Slade: OK< thanks
[11:30] Justin Clark-Casey: I use v3 without an issue
[11:30] BlueWall Slade: I have tried all kinds of things to cause it, but haven't been able to so far
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: ya i also have never had this happen with v3 either
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: but
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: whenever im using v3 i usually am alone
[11:30] Taarna Welles: Nebadon: I use Firestorm with the option for viewer 2
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: in a sandbox
[11:30] Nalates Urriah: I'm using SL Dev 3.3.0 now. Any better?
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: the spew has stopped
[11:30] Justin Clark-Casey: bluewall: Is it something that cna be protected against? Check if the key is preent instead of assuming it is?
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: yes it stopped now
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: so its something in Dolphin
[11:31] Richardus Raymaker: hi taarna
[11:31] Justin Clark-Casey: nalates: are you just sitting there quietly or looking at profiles, etc?
[11:31] BlueWall Slade: probably so
[11:31] Taarna Welles: *whispers: hi Rich
[11:31] Justin Clark-Casey: or possibly other people are looking at you
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: i dont think others looking at her would trigger it
[11:31] Justin Clark-Casey: ah no, it's packages for nalates isn't it
[11:31] Justin Clark-Casey: ok
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: osprofiles will just talk to the website
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: to get info
[11:31] Richardus Raymaker: taarna is a cloud for me
[11:31] BlueWall Slade: is this the very latest version?
[11:31] Nebadon Izumi: ya but also Taarna stopped spewing too
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: when Nalates relogged
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: so its Dolphin doing it
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: how strange
[11:32] Richardus Raymaker: but dolphin gave you spew before to right ?
[11:32] Justin Clark-Casey: we-ell, maybe, maybe not?
[11:32] Nalates Urriah: And I had an easy login this time... I'll put a post on Lances bug reports.
[11:32] Justin Clark-Casey: But really, the profile module needs to check keys anyway
[11:33] Justin Clark-Casey: if dolphin can do it then any viewer could trigger it
[11:33] BlueWall Slade: ++
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: ya that makes sense
[11:33] Richardus Raymaker: yes
[11:34] Andrew Hellershanks: I haven't used V3 with OS
[11:34] Nebadon Izumi: i usually only use v3 when im testing mesh
[11:34] Nebadon Izumi: my testing has not been all that extensive
[11:34] Andrew Hellershanks: Is there a simple procedure to reproduce the spew with V3 and profiles?
[11:34] Richardus Raymaker: a few times sl3. but group/friends stuff is a hell in that one
[11:34] Nebadon Izumi: the performance level is just way to low for me to use it for anything other than testing mesh right now
[11:34] Justin Clark-Casey: andrew: it doesn't souind like it from what bluewall is saying
[11:35] VivK Lowlag: npc is stuck
[11:35] Richardus Raymaker: hehe
[11:35] BlueWall Slade: I thought I found something a couple of days ago, but I updated and it was handled in later code
[11:35] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:35] BlueWall Slade: not sure if the binaries are in sync though
[11:37] Aramis Soren: wow, dinner and a show!
[11:37] Andrew Hellershanks: justin, I some questions about iar saving
[11:37] Richardus Raymaker: lol justin
[11:37] Justin Clark-Casey: anyway, any other opensim topics
[11:37] Justin Clark-Casey: ok :)
[11:38] Richardus Raymaker: poor npc
[11:38] Justin Clark-Casey: no push on here so he ain't moving :)
[11:38] Andrew Hellershanks: When I say to save / the folder path starts with My Inventory. Is that really necessary? Can that be skipped (with code changes)?
[11:38] Richardus Raymaker: your turn neb

[11:39] Justin Clark-Casey: andrew: possibly
[11:39] Nebadon Izumi: restarted him
[11:39] Nebadon Izumi: i need to do checks to see if he gets stuck
[11:39] Nebadon Izumi: but i am not sure how i can really do that easily
[11:40] Richardus Raymaker: hmm, check if it keeps movbeing nebadon ?
[11:40] Andrew Hellershanks: Justin, ok. It just seems a waste to me. To exclude folders you would need to include My Inventory in the exclude path.
[11:40] Richardus Raymaker: keeps moveing
[11:40] Nebadon Izumi: i could do that
[11:40] VivK Lowlag: hi Dan
[11:40] Aramis Soren: see if position i within 2m of current for x seonds
[11:40] dan banner: hi vivian
[11:40] Nebadon Izumi: i am just worried having lots of timers checking things could get nasty
[11:40] Justin Clark-Casey: andrew: yes, that doesn't make sense
[11:40] Andrew Hellershanks: justin, ok. I'll work on that as part of patch 3 for iar saving.
[11:41] Andrew Hellershanks: I ran into an exception in Execute() the other day. I might as well fix the MI issue at the same time.
[11:41] Richardus Raymaker: nebadon llVecDist ?!
[11:41] Richardus Raymaker: hmm still need 1 timer
[11:41] Nebadon Izumi: needs to be more than that
[11:41] Nebadon Izumi: maybe
[11:41] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno
[11:42] Nebadon Izumi: only way that would work is run a timer constantly
[11:42] Nebadon Izumi: i'll have to think about it
[11:42] Richardus Raymaker: same for me with train stuff.
[11:42] Nebadon Izumi: i am going to need like 50-100 npcs
[11:42] Nebadon Izumi: for what i am doing
[11:42] Justin Clark-Casey: mmmmmmmm
[11:42] Nebadon Izumi: so scale is an issue
[11:43] Richardus Raymaker: ehh. no thats to much timers
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: well
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: depends
[11:43] Andrew Hellershanks: justin, would skipping the My Inventory part of the path be an issue for doing a load iar with merge?
[11:43] Richardus Raymaker: its possible to make a special C# NPC command ?
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: i had 3000 timers going on my sandbox
[11:43] Richardus Raymaker: not sure if thats betetr then timers
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: but there is a performance hit
[11:43] Richardus Raymaker: want always as less timers as possible
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: i just want to only use them if there are no other alternative
[11:44] Justin Clark-Casey: andrew: afaik these things haven't been issues
[11:44] Justin Clark-Casey: tbhm I thought I was already ignoring the My Inventory part
[11:44] Justin Clark-Casey: It's no necessary for specifying the iar path
[11:46] VivK Lowlag: .
[11:46] Pixel Tomsen: hi;-)
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: hello Pixel
[11:46] Justin Clark-Casey: hey pixel
[11:46] Sarah Kline: hi
[11:46] Richardus Raymaker: hello pixel
[11:47] BlueWall Slade: helloi
[11:47] Andrew Hellershanks: Justin, I haven't looked at the loading code. If you do, that is good. That again indicates there is no point in having it in the path when doing the save.
[11:47] Justin Clark-Casey: andrew: i have test cases which don't require any My Invnetory specificication
[11:47] Justin Clark-Casey: though I imagine there might be an issue with it getting into an iar if just / is given
[11:47] Justin Clark-Casey: but anything else ignores it, I believe
[11:47] Andrew HellershanksAndrew Hellershanks nods
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: maybe we could do save iar first last /.
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: then it ignores putting /My Inventory
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: if you just do / it includes it
[11:48] Andrew Hellershanks: ok. I'll take a closer look at how / is converted to the top level inventory folder.
[11:48] Justin Clark-Casey: yeah, it's a bit of a tricky issue
[11:48] Richardus Raymaker: its good to if its get restored into a seperate folder like its now. so you dont get a mix up
[11:49] Andrew Hellershanks: Actually, it isn't really. Parent folder of UUID 0 is the (or one of) the keys
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: ya for My Inventory
[11:49] Andrew HellershanksAndrew Hellershanks nods
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: parentFolderID = zero.uuid
[11:49] Andrew Hellershanks: yup
[11:50] Andrew Hellershanks: I need to run some more tests to see how sub-folders are dealt with.
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: i have a question about NPC
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: is there anywya to make a NPC run?
[11:51] Justin Clark-Casey: osSetSpeed() might do it right now
[11:51] Andrew Hellershanks: You would need to change animation. Can you chance its speed?
[11:51] Justin Clark-Casey: there's no npc specific functino for that right now
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: ok
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: i'll play with that
[11:51] Sarah Kline: like a double tap
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: osSetSpeed takes a key?
[11:51] Justin Clark-Casey: hmmm, although osSetSpeed() might make you just walk faster for all I know
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: triggering the run animation would be important
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: visually
[11:51] Sarah Kline: you would need anim too
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: we need a osNPCMoveToTargetRun
[11:52] Sarah Kline: will that mine push?
[11:52] Andrew Hellershanks: oh, that is an os function
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: no
[11:52] Sarah Kline: awwww
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: osNPCMoveToTarget is
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: but we need a osNPCMoveToTargetRun
[11:52] Richardus Raymaker: terrible. there 10 fun things todo. but can only do 1 :P
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: that would trigger teh animation
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: and move it at proper speed of a run
[11:52] Andrew HellershanksAndrew Hellershanks nods
[11:53] BlueWall Slade: put a new flag in the function
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: ya or a flag
[11:53] BlueWall Slade: instead if fly, use run
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: that makes more sense
[11:53] dan banner: osNPCMoveToTarget with a RUN flag
[11:53] Justin Clark-Casey: yes, it would be an option flag
[11:53] Andrew Hellershanks: nebadon, whose arm are you going to twist to get that implemented? ;-)
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: well
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: i dont really need it
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: i was just curious
[11:53] Aramis Soren: can they fly?
[11:53] Nebadon Izumi: yes they can fly
[11:53] Andrew Hellershanks: It would make sense to have those options.
[11:53] Aramis Soren: nice
[11:53] BlueWall Slade: should have any of the movement on a flay
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: it would be cool if i could have some of my NPCs be jogging around
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: like they are excersizing
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:54] BlueWall Slade: sideways, backwards, duckwalk
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: but i dont really need it
[11:54] Andrew HellershanksAndrew Hellershanks wonders if an AO could be made to work on an NPC
[11:54] Aramis Soren: morning tai-chi at sunrise in a group lol
[11:54] dan banner: heh npc joggers
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: that we could do
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: the tai-chi
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: all synced up
[11:54] Nebadon Izumi: hehe
[11:54] BlueWall Slade: you could have them sit on an object for some things I guess
[11:55] Andrew Hellershanks: You've pretty much done the group thing with the Alien
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: however
[11:55] Aramis Soren: Aliens need top hat and canes with showtunes next
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: it would be more difficult to have just 2 or 3 npcs
[11:55] BlueWall Slade: can you start an animation with them?
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: out of say 20
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: all synced up
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: its possible
[11:55] Nebadon Izumi: just more complicated
[11:55] BlueWall Slade: like a dance ball
[11:56] BlueWall Slade: lol
[11:56] Aramis Soren: I've always been an Alpha... I wouldn't want to be anything but an Alpha.
[11:56] Nebadon Izumi: as soon as my scripts are a little more sane
[11:56] Nebadon Izumi: i will share them with everyone
[11:56] Nebadon Izumi: so you guys can play around
[11:56] Nebadon Izumi: and expand on my work
[11:56] Sarah Kline: nice
[11:56] Nebadon Izumi: i am trying to make good comments in the code
[11:56] Nebadon Izumi: cause its confusing as hell
[11:56] Justin Clark-Casey: lol
[11:57] Richardus Raymaker: the next step for neb. let them comeinto a class and later move out :)
[11:57] BlueWall Slade: re, profiles. maybe some of the viewers are sending some odd key for the avatar id
[11:57] Nebadon Izumi: Nalates posted on the Dolphin forums
[11:57] Justin Clark-Casey: could be
[11:57] Nebadon Izumi: with a snippet of the spew
[11:57] Justin Clark-Casey: one can never trust anything coming from the viewer
[11:58] BlueWall Slade: I'll kick it if that is empty and not continue
[11:58] Nebadon Izumi: but ya
[11:58] BlueWall Slade: but, I'll put some logging in there so we can catch it
[11:58] Nebadon Izumi: we need to make sure we can atleast prevent the spew
[11:58] BlueWall Slade: right
[11:58] BlueWall Slade: ReqHash["avatar_id"] = remoteClient.AgentId.ToString();
[11:58] BlueWall Slade: they must be changing that
[11:58] Nebadon Izumi: and hopefully dolpin can figure out what they are doing wrong as well
[11:58] BlueWall Slade: well, that's what the logging is for
[11:58] Justin Clark-Casey: or they may be perfectly innocent :)
[11:59] BlueWall Slade: we can ask them about it
[11:59] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[11:59] BlueWall Slade: yeah, might be a V3 thing
[11:59] Nebadon Izumi: i dont think its anything malicious
[11:59] Nebadon Izumi: well i dunno
[11:59] Nebadon Izumi: only dolpin so far has triggered it
[11:59] Justin Clark-CaseyJustin Clark-Casey nods
[11:59] Nebadon Izumi: firestorm doesnt unless somsone with dolphin logs in
[11:59] BlueWall Slade: do you think they are doing it on porpoise ?
[11:59] Nebadon Izumi: then firestorm user joins the party
[11:59] Justin Clark-Casey: And I'm always using v3 nowadays and haven't triggered it
[11:59] Aramis Soren: need to update my viewers here, still in stone age
[12:00] Justin Clark-Casey: but my bheaviuor might be a lot fdifferent from other people's
[12:00] Justin Clark-Casey: usually I'm just standing here
[12:00] Nebadon Izumi: my guess though is Dolphin is trying to get some kind of info directly from firestorm maybe
[12:00] Snik Snoodle: hi justin :)
[12:00] Snik Snoodle: hi neb
[12:00] Nebadon Izumi: seems odd that viewers would communicate directly
[12:00] Snik Snoodle: hi everyone
[12:00] Nebadon Izumi: thats almost what it seems like
[12:00] Nebadon Izumi: hello Snik
[12:00] BlueWall Slade: a little logging will catch it
[12:00] Nebadon Izumi: cool
[12:00] Justin Clark-Casey: hi snik
[12:01] Snik Snoodle: hi bluewall
[12:01] Justin Clark-Casey: hold on, yo're saying that dophin is requesting something directly from another viewer???
[12:01] Richardus Raymaker: hello snik
[12:01] BlueWall Slade: hi Snik
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: it has a wierd ip address
[12:01] Snik Snoodle: hey richardus :)
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: in the request
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: did you notice that
[12:01] Andrew Hellershanks: I want to find the cause of a quaternion message I get everytime I log in to my test standalone setup.
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: its not the sims or grids ip address
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: http://82.26.0.102:8002/
[12:01] dan banner: what IP?
[12:01] dan banner: oh
[12:01] Nebadon Izumi: it looks like a grid IP address though
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: but its nothing on OSgrid
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: and these people are not HG'd in
[12:02] BlueWall Slade: that looks like a HomeURI
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: so what the hell
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: is that SL?
[12:02] BlueWall Slade: it would be HG
[12:02] Andrew Hellershanks: TP attempt to defunct region?
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: ya but Nalates nor Taarna
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: were hg'd in
[12:02] dan banner: cpc14-cmbg15-2-0-cust101.5-4.cable.virginmedia.com
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: and last week said they had not HG'd
[12:02] Richardus Raymaker: that ip you posted points me to www.gridnirvana.net
[12:02] Nebadon Izumi: they logged directly into WP
[12:02] Aramis Soren: streaming media?
[12:03] Nebadon Izumi: maybe a HG friend?
[12:03] Nebadon Izumi: on their friends list
[12:03] Andrew Hellershanks: Aramis: Not with port 8002
[12:03] Nebadon Izumi: trying to send out status updates?
[12:03] Taarna Welles: that's what I see too in my console Rich
[12:03] Taarna Welles: www.gridnirvana.net
[12:03] Aramis Soren: right port is wacky... what port does SL use btw?
[12:03] BlueWall Slade: that is the default loginuri for Robust
[12:03] BlueWall Slade: the port
[12:04] Taarna Welles: ah right
[12:04] UUID Speaker: Metta Flanagan: 816dc49c-4955-44dd-9092-5504e04c1544
[12:04] Justin Clark-Casey: It certainly woudln't susprise me if this issue is connected with hg
[12:04] Nebadon Izumi: ya the only way it could be though
[12:04] Nebadon Izumi: is friends list
[12:04] Nebadon Izumi: because neither of the users in spew
[12:04] Nebadon Izumi: had HG'd
[12:04] Nebadon Izumi: or were HG travellers
[12:04] Nebadon Izumi: they logged directly into WP
[12:05] BlueWall Slade: maybe the null id are causing some disturbance in the force
[12:05] Nebadon Izumi: so maybe Dolpins friend list
[12:05] Nebadon Izumi: is trying to request profile data
[12:05] Nebadon Izumi: and cache it before hand?
[12:05] Nebadon Izumi: i dunno
[12:05] Nebadon Izumi: seems odd for sure
[12:06] Aramis Soren: we need a viewer lol
[12:06] Justin Clark-Casey: ok, I need to pop off
[12:06] Nebadon Izumi: kk see you Justin
[12:06] Nebadon Izumi: thanks for coming
[12:06] Andrew Hellershanks: k, cya Justin
[12:06] BlueWall Slade: bye Justin
