: Depends on how much UDP traffic we are talking.  I think it would be a problem at, say, 50k/sec especially if there were many users.  But lower might not be an issue - to be honest one would probably have to just try it.  Also, I don't know whether it could be done currently as an OpenSimulator module - might need to provide some more hooks in the server.  Hopefully I can take a look myself sometime once I get a Kinect! -- [[User:Justincc|Justincc]] 21:41, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Hey Iseki. Thanks for updating with the Rinions information. I'm wondering if the UDP data transfer could also work as a module in OpenSimulator itself (most probably with some OpenSimulator development) rather than have to be an external server? -- Justincc 00:57, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi Justincc, Probably, it will be possible to incorporate it as a module. I consider it. But, in that case, the traffic of UDP increases. I do not understand that how much influence on transmission speed of Region Server.

Depends on how much UDP traffic we are talking. I think it would be a problem at, say, 50k/sec especially if there were many users. But lower might not be an issue - to be honest one would probably have to just try it.
