Edit: while we're looking at msuic streaming, would be a good idea to add a page with a list of streaming channels? I'm not sure. It would be difficult to keep such a lsit up to date and it may not be within the scope of the wiki.

About libraries. We have three types of sites :

* Sounds libraries ("sound clips", "sound effects"). They belong to our '''Sounds''' section.

* Songs libraries. Full titles to be includes in a playlist or mixed in real-time for streaming. Belongs to our '''Music''' section.

* Streams libraries. Also called "internet radios", ready to be entered in the parcel Music URL.'''Music''' section too.

OpenGameArt has both music and sound effect clips and should be linked from both pages which it is at the moment. I also think the Sounds_(Content_Creation) and Streaming_sound_in_OpenSim should be interlinked in one way or another. Maybe add a Category:Sound page that lists all pages related to sound? Category pages are easy to set up and although I don't think they should be used as the backbone of the wiki structure, they can be a very useful alternative navigation tool.

Edit: I think you shold also mention on the streaming page what you said in your first comment here, about the difference between streaming an existing channel and creeating your own and why the page only covers the latter.

I am doubtful about the necessity of this page since music equates with streaming. LMMS is not actually a streaming tool but a music production tool as Reaper, Traktor, Cubase, Pro Tools, Studio One, Ableton Live, FL Studio and a ton of others. This is not our mission to teach how to produce music.

Morever, few ppl want to stream their own music (those who want already know how to produce it), but rather broadcast playlists or real-time DJing using mp3 from the free web.

Finally, this page appears as a unnecessary hop to the streaming guide. We could as well link the streaming guide to Artist's Home, expanding it with a Content Libraries section.

I agree. I added the page because I didn't want to delete any content that was on the Artist Home page before I split it up but I never really felt it belonged here. How about we merge the page with the streaming guide and add a link to it o the Artist Home page as a "related topic" or something like that?

Edit: while we're looking at msuic streaming, would be a good idea to add a page with a list of streaming channels? I'm not sure. It would be difficult to keep such a lsit up to date and it may not be within the scope of the wiki.

About libraries. We have three types of sites :

  • Sounds libraries ("sound clips", "sound effects"). They belong to our Sounds section.
  • Songs libraries. Full titles to be includes in a playlist or mixed in real-time for streaming. Belongs to our Music section.
  • Streams libraries. Also called "internet radios", ready to be entered in the parcel Music URL.Music section too.

There are so any of them, and they change so often that we would lose our mind listing them. I moved OpenGameArt and Jamendo to the Streaming Guide, adding a "please, expand" note. I also have one for Sounds I will add later.

Then I will link the Streaming Guide directly to Artists' Home (rename or redirect) unless you object.
