The Top Reasons Why You Should Go for a Christian Homeschool Curriculum

Are you thinking of using a Christian homeschool curriculum for your child’s education? There are an increasing number of families turning to this method of education each year, but before you make the switch, you need to decide for yourself first if it is going to be ideal for you and your child’s situation. Just because it worked for others, it does not mean that it is going to turn out the same way for you.

Like with everything else, home schooling has its strong points and its negative aspects as well. It is really not superior to the traditional form of education or anything like that. It all depends on the needs of your children and you, who will act as the teacher.

If you are attracted towards getting a homeschool curriculum with Christian values to it then here are some of the reasons why you should go for it:

Home Schooling is God’s Way- If you have strong [http://present.me/view/29285-how-to-equip-children-for-home-schooling Christian values] in your family then you would understand this one. The Bible is filled with so many verses referring to home study and home schooling. That is how God meant it to be.

The public school system has only been around for a few centuries and it will never be perfected. God meant that teachers should serve as the teachers of their children and if you are a believer then that is how you would want to do things.

Closer Family Ties- It is inevitable that parents and their children would have closer family ties when they opt for home schooling. Since the teachers would take on the additional task of being instructors they would be spending a greater amount of time with their kids. This means that they will be together for most of the time.

Home schooling also means that there will be no additional authorities in the life of the child so they would look up even more to their parents.

God Centered- The public education system isn’t so bad, but the major thing that’s lacking in it is religious teaching. They don’t teach children about God, which is the most important thing that they should be learning about. Home schooling would allow you to correct that omission by getting a homeschool curriculum that is God centered for your child.

Parents as Teachers- Another benefit of home schooling is that as teachers you would get to learn a lot as well. Since you are going to be the one to instruct your child, you need to have a good grasp of the subject that you are teaching. That’s something that you cannot fake and it will benefit you greatly.

Flexibility- Another great advantage of home schooling is that it is very flexible. You can adjust the time of your child’s study so he will not have to miss any family activity. That is something that you cannot get out of traditional education.

These are just some things to think about while you’re planning on getting a Christian homeschool curriculum for your child.

I believe planet.opensim.us is indeed dead - it was setup by sdague who has since stopped opensim developer, so I don't think that it's coming back -- Justincc 00:31, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Teravus - it's back so I reinstated the page (the above was a response to Makopoppo removing the link) -- Justincc 23:17, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
