Yes, the fact that BulletSim does not allow avatars to go below z == 0 has come to attention recently.  For better or 
worse, as you know, OpenSimulator has historically allowed negative z terrain/avatars/objects.  You'll find the ODE 
still allows the avatar to go below z == 0.

This does concern both users and developers but many of the considerations are development focussed, so I have started a 
thread at [1] about this since a decision needs to be made one way or the other about this before release.

Regarding images, I suggest putting it on some image hosting site and linking it, so that we don't send out a large 
amount of data to everyone on this mailing list.
