Hi Stanley,
I'm one of the developers of the Distributed Scene Graph technology at Intel. We are still working on DSG and using it as a research vehicle while we determine the best way to make it available to the OpenSim community. If you have some time to spend on the code, then I would be interested in working with you on your application. At this time, it's not at the point of "plug and play".

For the benefit of others who might be interested, I'll share a bit of where we are at with DSG. There is a branch from master from about a year ago that has the initial release of the DSG code integrated into core. We have rewritten much of DSG since then based on early load testing and our experience with the code to where we have a version which is modular and can run with the latest master. Again, we use this internally for research purposes but we are almost to the point where we will conduct load and stability testing on a public grid. Stay tuned..

~Dan

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had experience with Intel DSG, Distributed Scence Graph?

http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Distributed_Scene_Graph

In the project I'm working on we are hosting 800-1,000 delegates at a conference and we are looking into how the virtual worlds can be used/supported for with big numbers of concurrent avatars.

Thanks for any info here and feel free to direct email me.
