[Opensim-users] OS Combat HUD Update!

Good News!

As you know I've been working on developing a combat HUD for OpenSim, and
have made much progress!

Where I am with this project;

- I have written a working gun script that will project bullets to targets
- Bullets are scripted to delete themselves after being fired
- Bullets are scripted to turn into a physical object after leaving gun
(resolved the collide/phantom issue)
- Bullets announce to combat meter if target was "hit"
- If target is "missed" a random ricochet sound is played
- If target is "hit" a hit sound is played, and points are removed from
targets health


Where I am going with this project;

- variable damage depending on weapon used
- develop a meter compatible HUD
- A working "armor" system to enable body armor bonuses
- armor damage which eventually renders armor "useless"


I have other ideas as well, but because of time restrictions (life), I have
to take this project on little by little...but it is looking very promising
