Not sure why the UUID GATHERER would be invoked on startup - it's generally
only hit for OAR/IAR save and some hypergrid stuff.

As this is a release from osgrid.org rather than OpenSim itself, I do
recommend asking on the forums over there (though having said that OpenSim
0.6.9 and osgrid's release are currently almost idnetical, I believe).
