I checked the dependencies but since I am not familiar on how they work under Ubuntu 8.04, I couldn't tell if there was really a problem. However, I did noticed that those packages you listed were not installed and they had dependencies on the ones I had installed earlier. But those earlier packages didn't seam to have dependencies on those missing ones. So I do not really know if the dependencies were set up right.

I did installed them and managed to have successfull build and was able to start my OpenSim and did a few terrforming/building tests. It seams ok now.
