[Opensim-users] Sailing in Opensim

The Openspaces protest by the SL sailing community begs my question...
85% - 100%  water with a handful of 28 prim boats sailing thru a few times a 
week ...
Jack Linden swears a Xeon class 5 with 4GB can't handle this 16 region load 
so he is forced to raise tier...
Cough Cough..to $125 US  tier per region. .(don't barf on your keyboards)

Where do we stand or forecast when a boat can sail?
and how can it be moved forward...
btw: SL sailors do not use Linden wind.
