thank you for confirming my findings,
 
yes, I have talked to Biondi et al, and they seem to be very open and professional. I think they will be more than happy to work with us to have 100% OpenSim compatibilty.
Are there any other transfer tool initiatives around? Except for brew-your-own-tools?
