[Opensim-users] SOG/SOP and object hierarchy

Is there a document on the current or planned state of
how SOG and SOP operates?

A related question: one frustrating aspect of LL handling of
geometry is the inability to have a true hierarchy (i.e., the neighborhood
object has 6 houses, each house has 4 rooms, each room has 20
pieces of furniture, etc). The flat linkset concept if barely acceptable
and has been a cause of frequent student mistakes, where a real
object hierarchy would be vastly superior (and is common, like meshes,
among all other 3D packages).

Thoughts?
