Hi Jonathan , 

That is great that you want to help with documentation. 

The wiki in general can be edited in its different sections depending on what you would like to add . A few of those sections are outdated and any of them can be edited for correction or addition once your account in the wiki is created. You will find these different sections listed here http://opensimulator.org/wiki/User_Documentation

As I am dont have the technical expertise to properly and confidently document opensim I though it was more appropriate to  present my observation via my user page instead .  You can do same  through the user wiki page automatically available with your account in the wiki.
