I know its an old. one here ( april ) .
But for whom ever is interested in doing what Ramesh suggest media on prim is a much faster alternative as it loaded directly by de user viewer . And since those image are already sourced on the net using their proper url in the media on prim script should speed up the process.
And more interestingly in general using media on prim allow bypassing the 1M limit of textures and 10 sec sound so that inworld presentation are more vivid.
Only draw back is that presentation is not synchronous to all participant .

texture loading is, by its nature, asynchronous. The texture is loaded by the viewer at its own pace - nothing opensim can do about that.

Not only does it not have 0 second delay as the opensim wiki says, but it
is also an asynchronous function, i.e. if you are loading n images ... it
will take n x delay for 1 load. We can makes things work after ploughing
through this friction ... but
Is this expected behavior?
