There has been a lot of performance work on OpenSimulator and there are
many tools.Google for "opensimulator performance" and "opensimulator scale"
to find links to some..
There is a write-up in the wiki[1] (look at the bottom of the page). There
are also many commands and remote access mechanisms for getting operational
numbers -- for instance, check out StatsManager.cs in the sources which has
both console commands and the ability to return stats as JSON based on a
web request.
