When upgrading to new releases I have found that the compiled script files
(the ones starting CommonCompiler_compiled) in the ScriptEngines folder of
all instances of OpenSim should be removed. Be careful as you only want to
delete the compiled files. Do not remove the .state files.

If the update is just a point updated (ie. you were already running 0.8)
this may not be neccessary. If you were previously running 0.7.6 I would
suggest you remove the old files. I have found in the past that there are
often changes in the script engine between releases which prevent some of
the scripts compiled under an older release of OpenSim from running in a
newer verison. Removing compiled scripts has become part of my standard
upgrade process.
