[Opensim-dev] Running OpenSim in the background

The remote admin console was not 'shot down' by anyone. You need the admin
client and proper configuration in opensim.ini. That being said, does it
work well?" depends on what you like and whether you get along with it.
Documentation is sparse and not too many use it as it's a pita to get
working.

The reason this hasn't 'been done long ago' is that opensim IS TRULY ALPHA
CODE AND CHANGES CONSTANTLY (caps intentional as no one ever hears this).

This is why the console is still the primary control interface, as the most
significant thing happening with opensim continues to be development.

Cheers
James/Hiro

OH, PS, What Gunther said ;)
