[Opensim-dev] If MIcrosoft buys LL, impact on OpenSIm?

Big rumour that Microsoft may buy LL:

If so, any impact on OpenSim development?

I would like to think there would be a precedent of:
.Net & Mono  ==  MS/LL server & OpenSim

How safe is OpenSim from potential legal threats?
(if MS did buy LL, and turned their sights on OS..)
