Just my 2.2 cents: I can see where this is going to head down the path of
Linux distros and nomenclature - Ubuntu vs Debian? Ubuntu IS Debian!
Ubuntu has the mass appeal and cool branding which moves it into its own
marketing slot. Only developers see past (or through) the landscaping
around the kernels. I admit I prefer the idea of OpenSim being treated
more like the discreet platform it is: "Powered by OpenSim = powered by
Linux, or Intel Inside". I know it's not exactly the same comparison, but
at least it anchors the OpenSim framework and places the responsibility of
derivative branding on their respective dev groups.

Sorry to ramble about non-technical issues, but I see, down the road, the
complex branching and perhaps favoritism of this project as it continues
to grow and It would be nice to be able to point back at something and say
"[insert name here] is the basis of everything".

Take care, all.

Jason
