[Opensim-dev] Opensim database management - garbage collection

I wonder if someone can summarise for me the way in which Opensim
manages old inaccessible assets... Are they removed from the daya
base (e.g. when MySQL is used. We started with a completely fresh
copy of Opensim, bare, no content a few days ago, and only 2 or 3 of
the avatars are active at present. We already have a 100MB MySQL data base...

A. A specific question on textures... I ended up at one stage with
two copies with unique UUIDs of several textures, and then tidied up
so all objects only use one, then I deleted the second copy of the
100 or so textures. I.e. if someone uploads a texture, perhaps uses
it on an object that is then deleted, and then delete a texture, is
it removed from the database... or can it persist and be there forever?

B. Are temporary map images always deleted as a map refresh of a
region is done, or do they stick around?
