Re: culling & memory usage for primitives:

Can you recycle classes? That is make a dictionary for the geometry using a index derived from a combination of the primitive parameters? Materials will obviously vary - but you might be able to shave significant amounts of memory back through geometry re-use. (Given that most prims in a sim are of a few common varieties)
