[Opensim-dev] resource requirements OpenSim 10+ regions

For example, assuming SL-like numbers:

number of prims per sim - average 10.000 peak 15.000
number of avatars per sim - average 20 peak 80
OS - Linux Debian
other software running on the system - not much, we are talking of a
dedicated server

What are the hardware and system specs of a machine able to run, say,
8 regions without performance bottlenecks. I am trying to write down
numbers for a premium, high performance OpenSim hosting plan and would
appreciate your thougts.
