[Opensim-dev] ODE on Linux x86/64

There is a known failure mode with collision geometry when running
OpenSimulator in some linux 64 bit environments. We don't do any testing on
64 bit systems at this time. For the forseeable future OpenSimulator should
be considered a 32 bit application only, until we can devote time towards
developing and testing in 64 bit environments.
Those wishing to run OpenSimulator on 64 bit machines should consider using
one of the many virtualization environments that are available these days to
host 32 bit operating systems. I've personally had the best luck running
OpenSimulator in a 32 bit Ubuntu 8.10 server installed as a guest under
Virtualbox, and also running in Windows XP as a guest in Microsoft Virtual
PC 2007. Others may have tried similar setups with good results also.
