[Opensim-dev] On Patches and Mantis

My suggestion on patches is that we make that part of the release process and assign any to me that should be applied. I will bird dog the Mantisi and communicate with the submitters.
I have been trying to do this for some time. The only time I have not has been patches that outside of the code that I have studied. Ahzz patches to scene come to mind. Those, I needed to back off from so as to not have the magic falling out through all the little holes in the bottom of the computer.

But
there

Well,
the
reason
I
suggest
the
mailing
list,
is
Mantis
isn't
working
right
now.
Lots
of
stale
patches
in
there
not
getting
dealt
with.
Trying
the
mailing
list
approach
for
a
while
seems
to
be
at
least
something
different.
:)
There
are
currently
379
unassigned
&
open
mantis
issues.
Last
time
I
did
a
purge
(a
couple
of
weeks
ago)
there
were
250.
It
would
be
nice
to
get
that
number
going
in
the
other
direction.
:)

There
is
no
silver
bullet.
Plus,
werewolves
make
better
neighbors
than
zombies,
and
they
tend
to
keep
the
vampire
population
down.
