Anybody knows what the licensing state being for someone to develop a RegionModule 100% on the side (ie, not part of OpenSim) and then make it avaliable 100% on the side?
If it's a cool thing, we might start up a siblling project that holds an svn repo with GPL licenced plug-ins?
Best,
/Stefan

Lib Purple is an interesting topic, however the OpenSimulator license is not compatible with the libpurple license(GPLv2) unfortunately.

In today's Open Source office hours, the possibility of using libpurpleas a communications gateway for SL was used. It'd also have the side effect of being able to access SL with moreaccessible/lightweight clients, without needing to rely on libSL.OpenSim already has IRC integration to allow two-way communcation froman IRC room, so it'd be nice to expand the supported protocols fortwo-way region chat, and later allow non SL viewers to connect to theregion/grid to collect/respond to offline messages~ Marv_______________________________________________Opensim-dev mailing listOpensim-dev at lists.berlios.dehttps://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/opensim-dev
