There should be mailing lists for it: http://www.openviewer.org/wiki/Contact , but they get very little traffic. 

Jeff (chi11ken) is the person who has done most of openviewer. I did some work on it a few months ago but just haven't had the time lately, and haven't even tried running it for quite some time. So Jeff is the one who can most likely help you the most with your issues. But I would expect he is busy getting ready for the Virtual Worlds Expo.
