[Opensim-dev] Performance issue :S

Ursula makes a very good point, and I believe that point is applicable to many OpenSim grids.

One of the main goals of OSGrid is to setup various regions with various configurations. We have regions on known and controlled Windows servers and Linux servers.

We have test regions set up with one region / mono instance, four regions / mono instance and others.

These regions all run 24/7, and are used by folks every day.

Perhaps we can define a recipe for a set of tests that can be run on a regular basis by users, or perhaps someone would like to take on the project of setting up a bot to perform certain tests and write a report file.

What about performances on "official" grids such as OSGrid ?
Sure you run a most powerful server to host all your regions,
but, mine has only 25 Regions, about 1500 prims / Regions ...
... no scripts runnning ...

And, even in SVN.5992 ...
Still have performance issues ( see below ) ...

Well, even if my server hasn't the good sizing ( CPU/RAM ) ... It's a  
goos stress test ... Only 37500 prims on the database.

One solution is to get a new server, most powerful ...
Second one is to investigate why, without any user logged, and fresh  
UGAIR startup, I encounter 95%CPU.
