<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial> The value you use for
ExternalHostName in your region parameters will be used by the server to pass an
IP address to the viewer. For external viewers the address needs to be
your the external IP address of your server, not the internal IP address.
Due to your #8 your server will pass your internal IP address to the external
viewer at handshake time. That will cause the 'Awaiting region handshake'
timeout.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial> Things that you can do that
should allow your external users to complete region handshake:
(1) Removing the host file entry. (2) Revise the host file entry to
be the external IP address. (3) Use the actual external IP address for your
region ExternalHoseName value.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial> The server passes an IP address,
not a domain name, to set up the UDP communication (region handshake.)
That isn't always apparent in the documentation. It looks like a
Hosts file entry will provide the ability to use both an internal and external
IP address at the same time. Unfortunately it's not really a solution and
causes problems.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial> Good luck with your further
testing.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>I have installed Diva D2 distribution working fine from the computers in
my Local network even with 127.0.0.1 and domain name:9000.</DIV>

from Michael_Brade</DIV>
<DIV>4- MySql is runing well</DIV>
<DIV>5- Windows Firewall: the ports 9000-9003 are open inbound and outbound,
TCP and UDP. The grid was tested with firewall on and off.</DIV>
<DIV>6- Router: Forwarded to inbound and outbound, 9000-9003, TCP and UDP,
using the internal IP 192.168.x.x. Also tested with port 9000 only to TCP and

<DIV>7- I got dyndns domain name to use when run configure.exe</DIV>
