Ok sound dumb but I also want to bbe correct in this too. I finally
have the correct versions of everything goong, the dlls aree all
correct and running in the bin folder. Murmur 1.2.1 is running, but
not sure if the ini is right. Same issues with the [murmur] section
in my opensim.ini. Are there any examples of one that is filled in
for something like what I am running. My tag at the end of the
message describs what I have going. Only a few regions of my 49
have actual names, most are the same at the port numbers they are
running on and have no odd names, only numbers. Any Help would be
appreciated. Running as I am still gives me no dot.
Thanks for your patience.

I thought I only needed the server, the correct version of murmur 1.2.1..
the dlls in the bin of opensim 7.1.1, and the thing that installs the
replacement slvoice.exe in my imprudence directory, and the correct section
to my opensim.ini installed.
Was I suposed to actually go a head and install the client whisper client
too. I think I misunderstood, I thought the installing of the replacemtn
slvoice was the client. I thought since I am not acciess the voice outside
of my grid and the others from outside had the clients. Or did I mess this
up?

You are correct- the whisper client IS the modified SLVoice.exe....
If you use all the pieces from the link I gave, and following what you outlined above, it should work locally. For external users, you'll need to configure your firewall for the necessary ports. That info is on the OpenSim wiki. I'd give you the link but the wiki appears inaccessible at the moment...From memory, you just need to open the ports that are stipulated in the OpenSim.ini and murmur.ini files, but please double-check the wiki to be sure.
