I am currently using MYSQL 5.1.41 community edition, and I make
opensim.sql backup every other night. Would it be possible for me
to upgrade to version <span class="subheading">5.5.13 community
and restore my opensim.sql to it, and have opensim 0.7.1.1 run
fine with it. Or is there some incompatibility with opensim now
and version </span><span class="subheading">5.5.13 of MYSQL.<br>

I don't want to run into some kind of horrible problem because I
upgraded. All has been running fine so far. I was looking for
a database speed boost, but don't want to mess things up in the
meantime. I have a 2000 item inventory so far, and don't want
to loose it all.<br>

Thanks in advance,<br>

Aside from figuring out how to use the weird new GUI tools suite
(MySQL Admin's replacement) which seems to be about as intuitive
(yeah right...) as Windows Vista; I did not have any problems
upgrading to MySQL 5.5.x from 5.1.x and restoring a SQL dump to it.
But as always I'd recommend saving OARs of your regions and IARs of
your inventories before attempting.<br>

If there are any incompatibilities or other nuances with restoring a
5.1.x SQL dump to 5.5.x I would definitely be interested to know as
well.<br>
