Ditto. I noticed this as well. At least, my personal "opinion" at witnessing this action with spheres was "the texture must not be rolling along with the sphere." I actually thought it was a stationary texture issue, but of course, I know nothing about the physics engine. So FWIW as well, I too noticed this characteristic...<br>

FWIW... I noticed changes in the behavior of rolling balls about the time that the physics was changed to accommodate the different materials (I don't recall the version offhand). I've since tried every combination of materials to get balls to roll like I want with no real success.<div>

Might be worth noting that some time around then, general stability<br>
relating to physics crashes also improved markedly - so could be that<br>
whatever changed improved things for stability, but evidently caused<br>
issues elsewhere. I for one don't want those frequent ODE crashes coming<br>
back to haunt us.<br>
