Now I'm split between falling back to 32 bit or giving ubuntu a whirl...but will likely fall back to 32bits though with that warning. This is a mini-pc (Acer L100) that I thought would be perfect for a low power, always on server ..and for playing with opensim...I suppose I shouldn't push too hard as I have only 1gb of RAM now and can only go to 2GB.

Your comments and suggestions were all appreciated.

> I was running OpenSim fine on Debian etch amd64, with mono and nant
> compiled from source.
> But be prepared to add some more memory to your machine. :-)
> I went back to 32-bit Linux, as the memory footprint is much smaller.

Damn those 64 bit numbers! They use twice as
much memory!

FYI - runs fine on a core 2 quad w/ 8GB of RAM.. and that 8GB of DDR2
was $300 3 months ago... probably cheaper now.
