Thanks for the reply. I wish it were that simple<br>

I already had Visual Studio C# 2008 express installed. Ran the
prebuild2008.bat then opened OpenSim.sln in Visual Studio C# 2008
express. I got a lot of errors and the build failed. There were some
new exe files but no opensim.exe. I am guessing this is still needed?<br>

Anyhow. Tried again using the prebuild.bat. The project needed
converting in that.<br>
<br>
I deleted the folder I had unpacked the 0.5.0-release into and unpacked
it again so as to have no bad files to try again.<br>
<br>
I uninstalled 2008 version (including the mssql server and other
programs installed with it) and found and installed Visual Studio C#
2005 express. Again I ran the prebuild.bat then opened OpenSim.sln. I
got 42 errors and 13 warnings when I try using Build Solution. No
opensim.exe file.<br>

Am I doing something wrong?<br>

If your running windows, building from the source code is really easy,
just download Visual Studio C# Express, it's free. Then run the

as I am not a programmer. Just a gifted scripter.<br>

I did try running the nightly build and the svn export. none of the
user/grid/asset/... other servers would run without terminating. I do
have mysql setup and a database created just as with version 0.4 which
works fine<br>
