I know I have gotten frustrated with not being able to get it to work. I had a PC just sitting so I finally setup a Ubuntu Server and OpenSim works fine. I've reported two issues, first one though was already know on the systems, it was a matter of finding the right instructions in the Wiki, and the other one had to do with OpenJPEG, which I think I've got working now. I'm filing stuff under mokele. I would think the key to getting more Mac support maybe is to report the errors you get and seeing more Mac users getting involved, then reporting errors.
