It's still less trivial to compile a Whisper region module and a 
voice plugin in three flavors (Win, Mac, Linux) along with a plugin 
switcher. There are a number of repos with the region module, but the 
plugin source seems out is reach forever, except may be an old 
Windows binary. The Firstorrm project dismissed the idea five years 
ago:
