I'm brand new to the game board hobby, but I got Betrayal and although it contains a  lot more rules  than you  probably have ever  seen, they are pretty straight forward and once you get going, you really don't even have  to think  about it.  Betrayal is definitely a  fun game and although it  can be uneven at times, this  game is not about being competitive, it's  about having fun trying to kill/survive your friends and whats  more fun  than that?
