it includes basic  biology, developmental biology,  gender, cognitive psychology, genetics,  amongst other  things. 

sexual  psychology is as much a  field as political  science, probably with even more understandable day to day material for the average person.

for shits and giggles, go look up wolfian and mullerian, and tell me your brain doesn't  bake when you read about  androgen  insensitivity as a genetic mutation.
