[Opensim-users] Pre-release announcement for OpenSimulator security releases 0.8.1-rc2, 0.8.0.4, 0.7.6.3

Hi folks.

This is an announcement that between 5pm and 10pm UTC on Wednesday (4th March 2015) we will issue OpenSimulator releases 
0.8.1-rc2, 0.8.0.4, 0.7.6.3.

This is primarily to address a security issue.  Please be prepared to update immediately if it is necessary for your 
installation.

0.8.0.4 and 0.7.6.3 will contain only the security fix.  0.8.1-rc2 will contain both the security fix and other updates 
to fix regressions discovered in 0.8.1-rc1.

The fix will also be added to the master code branch at the same time.

Releases 0.7.5.2 and earlier will not receive this update.  The original 0.7.5 release is now more than 2 years old and 
scarce resources are better spent on more recent releases.  If you need the security fix you will either need to update 
to a newer version of OpenSimulator or implement an alternative measure that will be made public at the same time.
