I just grabbed opensim-6557eba.tar.gz from OSgrid's website, and compiled
it under Mono 2.10.8.1 without a problem on Debian 7. Just for giggles, I
also compiled it under Mono 3.2.8 successfully. Perhaps you're missing a
dependency?
