[Opensim-users] 3D Online Journals

I just received an unusual personalized "call for papers" from a journal
called Global Journals Inc. at http://globaljournals.us/. [Note: The
highly unusual part of this "call for papers" included a reference to a
paper I previously published!] In turn, when I visited the web site I was
stunned to see a reference to 3D online journals (see the exact text below).

"Global Journals Inc.(US) is a multilevel research organization with a
vast global expanse. We publish the world's leading journals that are
available as 3D online Journals, e-Journals, and in print form. The
journals have a high research impact with an immense reputation in the
research community."

Has anyone heard of the [innovative] use of 3D virtual world platforms for
online journal publications? Or is it likely the author of the excerpted
text above is defining 3D as something other than those of us that use 3D
virtual world platforms define 3D (?).

Note: I like the idea of creating walk through 3D journal articles!
Still, this particular application for 3D virtual simulations is likely a
better candidate for a browser window-based (versus viewer-based) 3D
platform.

Best,
Kay
