[Opensim-users] trouble running pCampBot

Hey guys,

@Justin, I tried the pCampBot from 0.7.4 dev version. Now I got an
exception, here is the log:

[BOT MANAGER]: Starting 1 bots connecting to http://127.0.0.1:9000, named
Bot Bot_<n>
[BOT MANAGER]: Delay between logins is 5000ms
[BOT MANAGER]: Starting bot Bot Bot_0, behaviours are Physics
[BOT]: Bot Bot Bot_0 ConnectingToSim in Network_LoginProcess
[BOT]: Bot Bot Bot_0 Failed in Network_LoginProcess
Bot Bot_0 cannot login: Error opening the login server connection: The type
initializer for ‘OpenMetaverse.Logger’ threw an exception.
[Bot Bot_0]: Disconnected

I'm still running opensim 0.7.3.1 on Windows XP SP3.

@BlueWall, I tried to use osNpc functions to create bots, but they did not
generate as much traffic as I expected, so I wanted to give pCampBot a try.

Can someone help me fix this problem?

Thanks,

Yun

Hi,

I want to do some load testings of my region, but I'm having trouble
running pCampBot on my computer. The bots are not presented in the viewer.
Here is my opensim log:

[LLOGIN SERVICE]: All clear. Sending login response to client.

Opensim version: 0.7.3.1
System information: Windows XP SP3

Why is the last using viewer in the log called "Your name"? Is this where
the problem is?
After "All clear. Sending login response to client", the pCampBot console
is closed, and no bots are presented in the viewer.
Can someone help me with this?

Thanks!

Yun

Hi Yun Wang,

Please see the newer osNpc functions and see if they will support what
you want.

That is curious. So pCampbot gives no exception or other debug information
at all, it just dumps you back to the
command line?

pCampbot has progressed since 0.7.3.1. You might want to try the one in
the latest dev version of OpenSimulator - it
will connect to any version of simulator.

Bluewall, since Yun mentions load testing I'm assuming that's what he wants
to do rather than create NPCs for other
reasons (which don't stress things anywhere near as much).
