[Opensim-users] importing merged vs grouped collada objects in opensim

Hello,
Has anyone else experienced the following?
When I try to import a complex objects with parts that are grouped into
opensim, I do not experience any problems.
But if I merge the same objects, export them as a collada object and then
import into opensim, it either takes forever to get imported or does not
get imported at all.
Any ideas what is going on?
