I use Second Life viewer on Windows 7 64 without any problem, even when 2 viewers are opened together.

I've a computer with an Intel I7 and 8 gbytes of RAM. The graphic card is an ATI Radeon HD 5700 and 1 Gb of ram and dual screens.

I run the Opensim server only on Debian 32 bits. Run very fine even on a Virtual Box running on the Windows 7.

Objet: [Opensim-users] Windows 64bit machine?

Hello, I wonder if the OpenSim community has any observations or
warning to pass on as we consider some new computers for our Openvue
grid (server side) and for our SL Viewer client machines.

a) Are there any issues with using Windows 64 bit OS for the OpenSim
server or SL viewers? We have used 32 bit up to now.

b) Is the Nvidia GeForce GTX580 a reasonable choice of graphics card
at a reasonable price/performance point? We want to get shadows and
the like this time.

Thanks, Ai
