[Opensim-users] invisible/invalid regions from remote client

Greetings,

Fairly new with opensim but making progress.

I have latest Diva build on a Win7 Enterprise machine.

Region file has 12 regions with unique UUIDs and port numbers.

Standalone system so I set appropriate ports in/out tcp/udp ports open 9000-9012.

Local login with Imprudence client and all is fine.

Remote login with Imprudence, same admin account, and I get "invalid region" when I look at the map
OR
I see "region1", "region2" and so on when I click map but when flying over I see nothing but water. It is as if the little region "hills" designating the region centers are invisible.

No terrain loaded.

Originally, I ran Configure for the base Diva world, no changes to region ini file but all ports opened as mentioned above...fine local, not fine remote.

Added my extra regions in region file and got same result (naturally).

Region file has:
	InternalAddress of 0.0.0.0.
ExternalHostName = actual machine name that has a static IP. (in Imprudence when I get grid info remotely, it resolves to IP interestingly enough)

Using default Diva MyWorld.ini

I've tried running Configure with machine name and with actual static IP number. I haven't changed region ini file to IP number....left it as as the machinename/http name, ie: my-opensim-machine.edu

Confused...Does anyone have a clue for me?

thanks,
Steve
