Not true at all as far as I'm concerned, core :)  Tweaking and repackaging code to make it easier to use is just as much 
a (sometimes thankless) task as writing it in the first place.  As are testing, writing good bug reports, writing 
documentation, creating great in-world content, etc.  Writing code is only one part of the equation.
